Chapter 1956 - Graveyard Of Whispers I

I have fourteen more hours before I leave; if it had been normal times, I would have been able to leave when I wanted, but all the Ruinic Gates are busy.

Those who had not been called at war had been going to the various ruins to increase their strength. The teacher had offered to keep the one teleportation gate reserved for me, but I had declined that offer; accepting it would be like taking the opportunities from thousands of people.

Though, the teacher did make an exception; if I am truly in danger, I could activate my beacon and be called back within an hour instead of a minute, but that will disrupt the other's schedule, so I decided to pass the time, and this time, I am quite confident on chances of survival.

With the fourteen hours in my hand, I opened the map and looked at the places I could go.? The glow palace is big, and there are more than fifty places marked on the map.

I looked at my list, which I had created; there are twelve names on, with three being the ones I had visited. After looking at each name, I had selected, I had selected the one place.

The place is 'Graveyard of Whispers,' a place with one of the densest record curse energies, and many powerful monsters reside there.

The 'Graveyard of Whispers' is no graveyard; it is used to be thousands of years ago but not anymore; it is something dangerous and filled with resources; one need just needs to have a way to survive there and remain undetected.

I had not dared to go to that place if I had not received the huge boost that I had just received; the area is too dangerous, the concentration of the curse energy alone would have destabilized my defenses heavily; according to the information I got, the concentration of energy twenty times that of outside and it is only at the beginning, as deeper one go, the denser they will find the energy.

I moved swiftly but cautiously, avoiding both monsters and Grimm Monsters before I reached that place, which looked like heaven.

In front of me is a huge overgrown area, with hundreds of kinds of different trees, each one of them held a different charm among themselves. The tree looks beautiful and inviting with beautiful shining flowers and ripe fruits.

One would not feel any danger here, but this place, as I had said, is extremely dangerous. At the edges, Ashlyn saw seven monsters waiting for their prey; all of them are leader class Tyrants, hidden so perfectly that those with the same level forgot to see them from their eyes or senses.

It is a good thing I have Ashlyn with me otherwise; I would have definitely failed to sense half of them, and that would have been the death of me.

Still, seeing the seven powerful monsters just at the edge, I begin to think about it again going inside; it is too dangerous. I wanted to go back, but desire in my heart wouldn't let me, seeing that I took a couple of deep breaths and powered up multiple formations.

I am going inside, but I will not stay inside for long, at most an hour; that is most I would be able to stay inside seeing. I am already standing at eleven times dense energy, nearly a kilometer away from the graveyard.

The energy inside is going to be dense, and I don't think I will be able to remain there for more than an hour before the rule-breaking power inside goes dangerously low; I could not have that.

I took a couple of more minutes to double-check my preparations before I started to move toward it cautiously under the guidance of Ashlyn.

While the place in front of me is filled with monsters, there are places there that have less density of them and no other hidden danger like carnivorous plants; Ashlyn had already taken the trip to the area and scanned in beforehand, and seeing her senses, I doubt she had missed anything.

Within few minutes, I had crossed half of the distance and saw the density of the energy reaching twelve times outside, which was said to be inside the graveyard.

The information is quite outdated; while I had expected some discrepancies but not as much as this. Energy density is the biggest danger and hurdle of this ruin; Pyramid should be up to date with it, especially in these times when people with big potential are venturing in these ruins, it could affect their survival.

As I sensed energy getting denser, I became even more cautious. I kept an eye on the formations covering me, the slightest problem, and I would be out of here.

While I need the resources, I would be alive to get them; my life is even more precious than any resource; I would even discard a mountain of divine crystals if I see only death in getting them.

Slowly, I moved toward the trees, hiding behind the broken walls and boulders when Ashlyn told me to and soon before moving toward the trees again. As such, another forty minutes passed, and I finally reached the first trees.

As I did, the density of energy had reached a whopping fifteen times that outside; even with my newly increased strength, I begin to feel the pressure and half my time from hour to half an hour, I will get out of here half hour, no matter what.

With that thought, I released tense of invisible strings from me; I had no intention to go deeper; nearly all the harvest would be done by my vines, the safest and most efficient way to get as many resources I want from this treasure trove.

I have calmed my mind and closed my eyes to focus, my runes are blaring mad, and I am trying to focus on the resources with the most intensity; usually, the resources with higher reactions are more precious than those with less intense reactions.
