Chapter 2637 One Day More

Chapter 2637 One Day More

??"The warehouses have started filling even faster now that the donations from outside Pyramid kept coming in, but 70% of these resources are below the Tyrant stage, which is a little let down," said Mary with a slight disappointment.

??"It did not matter; we will take everything they are willing to give," I said as I sat down on my seat, and soon tens of screens appeared in front of me.

??Every resource is useful, even Knight grade; even if we could not use them, we could always sell them. As I had said, with the war, there is a demand for every kind of resource.

??The project needs a lot of resources, especially for the below the Tyrant stage, as we have a large number of subjects, and each of them is resources burning, and considering how the resources are streaming in; it seemed like we would not hold back on recruitment of new subjects.

??I rarely hold back when it comes to Tyrants, as there are very few Tyrants who could be qualified to enter the project.

??It is a little different when it comes to the powerhouses below the Tyrant grade; there are a huge number of them. As usually, only one in twelve hundred Emperor could become a Tyrant; the number improved in the war times, but one could see, each level below, there are hundreds of times more powerhouses.

??The sheer number of powerhouses we have is shocking; the lower one goes, the greater their numbers will be, and that is very advantageous for the project.

??We could groom them from the lower level, which will improve their compatibility with the project method when they reach the Tyrant class; not even a quarter of subjects of the Emperor project qualify for the Grandmaster project.

??Breaking into the Tyrant stage is a big thing; it is evolution, and it changes things. Some of the subjects may possess 100% compatibility with the project, but that could disappear the instant they level up to Tyrant class, which is why I scan every newly advanced Tyrant.

??Buzz!

??I was studying the numbers when the teleportation formation lit up, and an old man appeared, holding a small wooden box in his hand.

??"You have to give that to the director," said Mary; a moment later, the old man appeared in front of me, "Director," he said and gave me the box. "Thank you, Grandmaster Carmen," I said as I took the box from his hand.

??"Director, this box has all the important methods and formulas, unknown resources, and artifacts we have come across in the first twelve hours," she said; I nodded, and the box disappeared into my storage.

??We have developed a three-layer system to sort everything we receive, from herbs to artifacts. Everything we receive through donations will be carefully checked in its condition, its grade and age, and other things by three people.

??Only when the three people will come to the same conclusion the thing will move out of the warehouses to the vaults of projects.

??Those that are unknown to the scholars of their fields will be sent to Grandmaster Salvador, me, and others for further checking. There would be no doubt about everything we received, as only through this way we will be able to use these things we received with maximum efficiency.

??"Mary, take some rest; you have some important interviews tomorrow," I said as I got up and walked toward the teleportation formation.

??'One day more,' rang out in my mind, and I smiled. Yes, one more day, and we will have the day.

??Marina and I had planned a day off, a day to ourselves, free from work and other stressful things. We had planned this day earlier this month, a day after a mass breakthrough, but the lord of glass died, and we got into preparation before going on the attack.

??Eversince our relationship began, we never had a day to ourselves, and we very much deserve it. The work is extremly important, but I will not let it come the way of the best thing in my life, and I will have the day and will not come to work unless another Grand Lord falls dead.

??A minute after reaching home, I ate dinner before falling into bed to sleep.

??The next day, I woke up before dawn and freshened up, showered before cooking breakfast for my parents, who came just as I finished, and me. I spent half an hour with them before coming to the project campus, looking fresh as a flower.

??Even her bodyguard looked tired, but not her.

??I looked at donations, which are still filling the warehouses, and discussed some things with her before everyone began to arrive for the meeting. We have these types of meetings every few days; they are necessary for the smooth working of all three projects.

??The meeting lasted for about one and a half hours, and there were some intense discussions on how to efficiently use these resources. Some of the suggestions were so good that I decided to use them.

??With the meeting finished, I once again began my rounds, moving one from one hall to another. Today is one of the special days, today, I am going to perform a solo treatment, which is kind of rare, as nearly all my methods target groups.

??A treatment targeting a single person brings much greater benefits, but there are over a thousand people in the Grandmaster project, and it is not the only project I have to handle; I sometimes have to go to the King and Emperor project too.

??It is why I continue to push myself to target more people in a single treatment, as it saves a lot of time and effort and some time, even resources that we are always in desperate need of.

??Buzz!

??I stepped out of the teleportation formation into the beautiful garden. "You looked like shit," said Jim, who was waiting for me. "Still, better than you," I said, looking at his tired eyes; though they are tired, there is deep excitement in them.

??"I haven't slept since yesterday; the resources we are getting are making me really excited; with it, we would be able to make the solutions we have been planning to make," He said, and I couldn't help but nod.

??There are some formulas he wanted to craft; these were never crafted before and quite complicated with a huge chance of failure. So, we held off from crafting them and decided to craft those who are less prone to failure, but now, we could try some.

??"So, when do you planning to start?" I asked as I walked the garden path with him toward the building, which is in the center of the garden.

??It was his alchemy artifacts; he had changed its location many times, much to the frustration of the alchemist working there.

??"I will begin next week; there is a huge workload on me; I want to finish them all off before I start on it; I will be unavailable for at least a week," he said, and I nodded; I have no problem with it as long as he prepared the advance supply for the projects.
