Chapter 2724: Everything
"It took them thirteen hours, much less than I had thought," I said as I looked at Lady Yui and Rhea bursting into the battle between Grandmaster Yazdi and three Grimms against which he was barely holding against.
If it were not for the recent boost in the strength he had got through me, he wouldn't have been able to achieve this feat.
Still, his current condition is quite bad, and if those who haven't arrived on time, I would have had Ashlyn to save him. She had already helped, stalling the attacks of Grimms before they reached the castle and even killed a Grimm, which delayed this attack.
With those two arriving, I stopped looking.
Though the visual is still being recorded in my core, and I or my clone will watch it when we have time, currently, we do not; we both are busy with our work.
I have not found another resource of origin, nor had I expected it to; if they had been so easy to get, they wouldn't have been called the treasure of millennia. We only get a few every millennium, and most of them are found in dangerous places, even more dangerous than this place.
From my marks, I could tell I had covered half of this huge place already; earlier, we were quite lucky that the teleportation formation was quite close to the door; if it had been where I am right now, we might have been still here, searching the way out.
Nero makes things quite easier; we are covering the area fast and finding all treasures and resources.
Seeing that there is still a half area to explore makes me a little hopeful about finding another supreme treasure. Though I know the hope is quite futile, a man could hope, especially for the earth's elemental supreme treasure that I desperately need.
I continued searching for treasure, and another three hours passed, and Ashlyn informed me about the result of the battle, which was a draw, as the Grimms retreated.
They did not give a chase, nor could they, considering the condition of Lord Yazdi. He had taken quite a beating before they had arrived and rescued him.
'Father, I had found the books,' said Nero suddenly when I was watching the retreating Grimms from Ashlyn's eyes. "Bring them out," I said immediately with eyes full of excitement and hope; I really hoped this time the books would be complete.
I did not ask for many; I just hoped that a few would be in good condition and they would offer me what I needed.
Hun!
I just thought that when the earth began to move and not just a small part of but a big part of it, a surprise appeared in my eyes seeing that when it had transformed into the shock when I saw Nero was not bringing out the books, but the shelf itself and inside books, books that had been protected from the harm.
The shelf came out, and it is pretty big, containing almost a thousand books, and all of them looked in perfect condition, protected in the formation.
I was looking on the shelf when I again heard the sound of the earth moving; the emotions which had barely stabilized became shell-shocked again as the second shelf came out filled with books, and after it third and then fourth, all containing the books in a near-perfect state.
Seeing that, I couldn't help but turn ecstatic.
I had wished for a few books, but I had got a few thousand, and all of them looked enchanting. I wanted to break their formation and begin reading them, but I had controlled my impulse and put the shelf back into my core, and continued through the hall.
Ten more hours passed, and I nearly finished with the hall; I could see my marks everywhere; only some part in the eastern side had remained, which I would be completely harvested in two to three hours.
A few minutes later, I reached the eastern part and began the harvest; the eastern is furthest away from the body, and thus the treasures here were fewer than in the other parts, but still, those treasures are rare like the others, so I have no complaints.
An hour passed by, and we continued harvesting the resources of the ground; to save time, Nero and I divided the area; we are the opposite side of each other, coming closer and closer as we harvested the resources and despite me having thousands of strings at my disposal, I am still slower than Nero in the harvest.
Hun!
A surprise couldn't help but appear on my face when my strings touched the thing underground because for the first time, my core had reacted, which is very considering it did not react to the things it needed, and when it does react, it means the thing is extremly good for me.
I wish the core had not been picky; the faux bloodline used to react to every single thing it used to find important for its growth; it used to sense those from miles, and once I had reached deep underground of the ghost town to get that thing.
I immediately pulled out the thing, which had to be quite heavy; I needed to deploy more than a hundred strings to lift it from the underground.
It took a while before a big thing came out, and it turned out to be a perfectly rectangular block of crystalline bone; one might confuse it for milky crystal if they do not look at it carefully.
The block of crystalline bones is about four meters long, two and a half meters wide, and about a meter thick, and the most amazing thing about it is the dense formation carved on it, covering every inch of its surface.
Those runes on it are carved from quite strange ink; it is giving me a feeling that I could not understand. It is not a bad feeling, just strange, one which I had never felt before.
I looked at it for a few more seconds before I stored it inside my core for my clone to study; it was clear that this thing was extremly important, and the feeling was quite intense when my finger touched it.
I want my clone to study it, so I can use it as soon as possible.
After I placed the crystal bone block into my core for my clone to study, I resumed the harvest, and forty minutes later, I finished, seeing that a big smile couldn't help but appear on my face.
This place has given me one of the biggest harvests I have ever got, especially that supreme treasure which was the treasure of millennia.
Click!
I did not waste any time as I finished and walked to the gate; it took me a few minutes to reach it before I began moving the bones on the door, which had changed the puzzle, but my clone had already solved it, so I moved the bones confidently before hearing the click.
A second later, I pushed open the door and walked out before turning toward the other door; since I have remained here, I will take everything I could from this vestige.
