Chapter 2811 Shameless Hag
Chapter 2811 Shameless Hag
'Steady,' I said to myself I released a single invisible string toward the bird, which was sitting on the tree nearly a kilometer away.
This is the last day and now catching the golden birds have become even more difficult. Their powers are increasing by the day; every day, their speed and strength are doubling, that now, even I couldn't match their power and speed.
Not just powerful, they have also become violent that just one morning, I saw a tiny little bird tearing through the Grimm in the morning.
The Grimm only suffered a minor injury, given its sheer size, but still did that to peak High-Grandmaster powerhouses is a big thing.
In the past four days, I have caught quite a lot of birds with the help of Ashlyn and Nero. I don't think anyone has caught as many birds as me; I have not seen even with half of the numbers, which had been bringing quite a lot of challenges.
Everybody wants the birds I have.
Soon, the strings reached the bird, and I began to weave the runes around the bird; the bird had now become powerful enough that I simply wrapped my strings around it and pulled it, and it pulled me toward itself.
I had suffered that once and did not want it to happen again.
So, I am taking some help from the formation; with it, I will easily be able to deal with its immense strength and save myself from the embarrassment I have suffered not long ago.
Everything went smoothly as I had able to create the formation around it without it detecting.
"You are now mine, little birdy," I said and did not hold back my sound. The bird heard and craned her toward me mechanically before upping her wings to fly when it clashed against the invisible sphere and bounced back.
It was not one to give up easier as it tried again and again, but every time, it had repelled back by the cage enveloping it.
While I watched, there is a faint shock in my eyes; the amount of power the bird had clashing against its cage is immense. If it struck against me with that force, it would send me crashing with blood spurting out of my mouth.
"Come to me," I said, and the bird flew toward me, and soon, it was in my hand, still struggling against the invisible cage.
I opened the bird cage and sent the little bird inside; the moment it did, it felt like the size of the bird had decreased further, but no, its space had expanded.
"You have watched the show, Lady Song; you can come out now," I said as I turned to my left and looked exactly where the old woman was hiding.
For a second, nothing had happened before a woman who looked to be in her seventies with wavy curly white hair and a kindly smile on her face.
She is Bianca Song of mistson, a quasi-Grand Lord, but here she is a very powerful High-Grandmasters as one cannot control the worldly energies here, which is also one of the reasons why breaking into the Grand Lord class is easier here than outside.
"You have powerful senses, young man; not many would be able to discover this old woman as you have done it," she said as she walked toward me, looking at me from top to bottom to recognize me.
"I was just lucky," I replied humbly.
"So, what can I do for you, Lady Song?" I asked the old woman; she had been following me for a few minutes, even before I had stopped went to capture the bird.
"This old woman just wants a small favor," she said, and I just looked at her without saying anything.
"I was hoping you would part with some of the birds you have," she asked with an embarrassing smile as she looked at my bird cage. "My apologies, Lady Song, but I could not do that, and besides, you have more than enough birds in your birdcage," I said, looking at thirty-one birds that are present in a birdcage.
I could see her eyes sharpening in anger hearing my rejection before the fake kind smile appeared on her face.
"You have double the number of birds than me, young man, and I am not asking much; just half of them would be enough for me,"
"I am very close to Grand Lord class, and having the highest bird would help me a lot in a good boost to break into the level of Grand Lords," she said kindly, a smile that would made anyone melt on the spot, but not me.
I don't like this woman from the beginning; she is from mistson and belongs to the faction that caused my mother the greatest harm.
"My apologies, Lady Song, but I could not do that." I said, "I have worked very hard to capture these birds, and I need the boosts, just as you do, and to be honest, it's you who should give me birds, seeing I will have a greater chance of breakthrough due to my young age," I added.
I could see the kind smile disappearing from her face and blazing anger appearing in eyes that would rival any Grimms.
"I don't know who you are, young man, but you have been disrespecting me, and I could forgive; so, I will do my duty and punish you," she said but did not take a step, as if giving me a chance to back down and offer her my birds.
I have seen many shameless people in my life, but not as this old woman, who have crossed all the boundaries, which is good because now, I do not have to be respectful to her.
"Can you, old hag?" I asked with a mocking smile, and old women's eyes literally spewed out the fire.
"Little bastard, if I did not break every single bone of your body, then I wouldn't be Bianca Song of my name," she said and moved to come toward me when she received the biggest shock of her life; she found out she could not move.
The shock soon turned to horror as she realized all her struggles were for naught; even with all her strength, she could not even twitch her limbs.
"You are spaw.. Michael Zaar," she said in horror, and the smile on my face became even bigger. "The old hag had finally recognized me," I said in my real voice and appeared in front of her.
"You are elder, and I am very forgiving. So, I am letting you go this time, but mess with me again, and I'll turn your bones to dust," I said softly while giving her my most manic smile.
I did not linger there for long and disappeared, I really wanted to break her bones and take all her birds, but I controlled my emotions. The old woman is powerful, and we need such people in the war against the Grimms.
I just hoped that the old woman would take this as a lesson and change her ways, or I would really do what I had said to her.
