Chapter 2848 Survive I
Chapter 2848 Survive I
One and a half days had passed since I came to the maze, and I am collecting and connecting the murals; I have already formed over twenty groups, with one group having thirteen murals.
I feel like it wouldn't be long; before long, I will see something concrete.
I am not only making progress in the maze, but I am also making great progress in my inheritance which is most important. I am making great strides, as I have expected, and if nothing goes wrong, then by tomorrow evening, I will have the inheritance ready.
I hope by then, I will be able to get out of this maze, but that is likely the case, even after me making such progress.
The progress may seem big, but it is quite small considering the sheer number of murals this place has, and not to mention I am finding news each minute.
I have already collected more than ten-thousand pieces of murals, and their numbers just keep increasing. It would have been great if the murals have repeated, but it is not; only glass walls are being repeated and not the murals.
It makes this extremely difficult, but not that I can do about it other than try to solve it to the best of my abilities.
A few more hours passed, and I have killed a few more Grimms, which I have to say were quite powerful.
I have already noticed that the Grimms on the second day are far stronger than on the first, and in these past few hours, I have encountered more High-Grandmasters than the Grandmasters and all the Grandmasters I have encountered were the group of High-Grandmasters.
It is not just with the Grimms but also with humans.
The reason for this happening is simple; people are getting killed. There is no mercy; if you come across the enemy, there is going to be the fight. You need to be strong to kill the energy or at least defend against it to survive.
Not all are.
It is the reason the last seven challenges are so difficult; there is no mercy. If you come across a strong enemy, then you will die.
Even with all my strength, I could not completely guarantee that I would survive as in front of the Grand Lord, I am nothing. I already know there are two Grimm Grand Lords here; the Grimm I had killed were more than happy to share this information.
There was nothing I could do about it other than hope that those two would come across the single Grand Lord we have in this maze, and she kills them.
Yes, we, too, got a Grand Lord in this place; I was quite surprised when I came to know about it, especially the identity of that person. She was not a council member and was behind in my list of people who could make a breakthrough into the Grand Lord.
Though, I shouldn't be surprised; the opportunities of this place could work magic, not to mention that woman is quite talented.
I know it because I have worked on her and have her detailed meta-scan in my core.
I decided not to think about it, as I had no control. My time would be better spent if I focused more on murals; it is through them I will be able to get out and thus will be safe from the Grand Lords of the Grimm race.
Five more hours passed, and I collected even more murals while connecting them some more.
Unlike before, it seemed to be frustrating me; no matter how many murals I have connected, I am not seeing a way out.
Maybe I am being too hasty with how closely I am getting to finishing my inheritance.
I wish I had gone out through that door. If I had then, I would be in Pyramid, working on my inheritance, and might even be making a breakthrough in the safety of the Pyramid.
I might be dead, killed by the Grimm the moment I got out; it is for that reason I did not get out, and even with the mood I am in, I still think staying was a wise choice.
A few minutes passed, and I stopped as I came across another exemplary mural; this one was not showing any war or carnage but a small oasis in a barren desert.
The mural felt calming to look at, and I looked at it for more than five minutes before I began to move again.
Another half an hour passed when I suddenly stopped with horror on my face. I knew there were chances of this happening but did not wish it would happen.
I immediately calmed my mind and stopped my clone from working on inheritance; what was happening was far more important than the inheritance.
It is a question of life and death.
Thousands of thoughts raced down my mind, and my clone's mind before one idea appeared acted. I begin to move toward the right; I am always moving left, but now, if I want to survive, I have to move right.
Barely a second passed when a. huge Grimm appeared in my view; it was the vast soul sense of the Grimm that I had sensed, and now it had appeared in front of me with its cold eyes locking me in.
"Another human," it said, and with a casual tone and waved its huge hand; from it, a tiny spark of energy had released, morphing into a long violet needle that came at me with a speed that I could not track.
BANNNNG!
The needle appeared in front of me like it was teleported, and a moment later, a deafening sound rang out with a powerful shockwave that was powerful enough to seriously injure the High-Grandmasters.
"Hahahaha…."
A clear surprise appeared on the face of the Grimm, but soon it turned into thunderous laughter that did not stop for a minute.
The laughter of the Grimms stopped as it became serious as it looked at me.
"Michael Zaar, we met," it said, and the all-encompassing aura of Grand Lord bore down on me.
