Chapter 3185 Killing Road

Chapter 3185 Killing Road

?

Puch, Puch!

I had killed two Grimms one after another. One is dead, while the other is barely alive.

Both went to my core; while I moved ahead in the red mist, which is getting stronger. I had able to find out a lot about it including, the more people die, the stronger it is getting.

It is the death of natives that are powering the curse, which is buried deep inside the ground.

I had not noticed it before, as it was buried quite deep. So, imagine my surprise, when I found the curse discs buried deep in the ground. They have planned this, and they had been very stealthy about it.

Maybe Sovereign knew, but they did not tell us intentionally, as it would have been useless.

The exit is here, and they could not move it.

So, telling people about it would have caused panic. Still, seeing so much death, I wish they would have told us, and given us the freedom to make our choice.

I pushed the thoughts about it and focused on moving ahead.

The people have got out; it is hard, without thousands of powerful Grimms doing them to stop and kill us, but people are doing it and if the Grimms stop them, they are killing them.

I had slowed my speed intentionally; currently, the battle near the exit is too strong. I am not powerful enough to survive the barrage.

So, I slowed down, letting more and more people get ahead of me. More than half of them are getting slaughtered by the Grimms, but people are still rushing toward the exit.

They do not have any choice if they do not get out of the ruin fast. The curse will kill them.

This way, they have a choice. If they somehow survive the Grimm and got out, there is a choice, that they will survive or at least have a bigger chance of surviving than staying here.

Unlike them, I have a choice; despite the curse getting stronger. I am still fine and thus have the liberty to move strategically.

"Die, you bastard!"

A powerful bloodline Grimms against whom I am no match had attacked me; with its blade tearing through my head.

PUCH!

My sword pierced through its back into its chest and sent powerful energies that froze it before it went inside my core a moment later.

The strong curse had amplified the advantage I had. The mist's soul sense interference had gotten stronger, which is a boon to me; as now, I could hide in the curse and make my illusion visible to my enemies' senses.

I am killing the Grimms whom; I do not even dare to look at before.

It is the least I could see seeing how they have slaughtered us with this curse and still killing people every second.

It is unbearable that my eyes watered and unquenchable rage burned in my heart, but I remained calm, as it is the only thing I could do.

I am too weak at doing anything else, but I had promised myself to get powerful quickly as possible to slaughter these bastards and those who make them.

It is millions of times harder than wiping off the Grimms from my native world, but I will do my part small as it might be.

I will not be a mere watcher, while these bastards spread terror into the universe.

Puch!

Another Grimm appeared in front of me, and I killed it before it could even touch my illusion.

It was weak, and I had really killed it. I did not keep it slightly alive to harness.

After my core got full, I am working on a different strategy. I will only keep the Grimm with bloodline alive and powerful Grimm with inheritance, likely the Peak-Primary-III.

Every other Grimm, I will kill it without hesitation.

It might seem wasteful, but it is not. There are too many Grimm, that thinking about excluding all the Grimms with bloodlines, only taking those with bloodlines to harness.

Every second in my core, the Growth energy spreads into the plants, while the Grimms are getting harnessed.

There are too many Grimms, and it is scaring the shit out of me. As powerful Grimms, someone might not fall for my trick and kill me.

I have already crossed halfway toward the exit and things are getting dangerous. The Grimms had transformed the area forward till the exit into the killing zone; they would attack any native walking through it mercilessly.

Every second, I am seeing people dying. I wish I could help them, but I am having a problem keeping myself alive.

If I tried to help them, I will die.

Not to mention, nearly everyone who had reached this far was at least as strong as me, with many of them much stronger than me.

Hun!

I dodged another stray attack by inches before moving to kill the Grimm who came from behind.

More than an attack that targets me, these stray attacks have become a bigger danger to my life. I have avoided a hundred of them and they are getting stronger and more frequent closer I reach to exit.

I am thankful that they have concentrated the cursed mist toward the exit, too. It made hiding for me a little easier.

I killed another Grimm and looked above where the battles between the Sovereigns are raging.

Despite being faintly stronger than the Grimms, the native Sovereigns are fighting defensively to give the chance to Primary practitioners to escape and I have to say, they are doing a wonderful job.

They are not only protecting the Primary practitioners but also each other with this strategy.

The Grimms Sovereigns were not able to stop even a single native from leaving through the gate. I hope the same thing happens when I passed through it.

Minutes passed and I go closer and closer while maintaining a low speed.

The natives are dying, but so are the Grimms that are stopping them. Their number is still high, which is why I did not dare to go fast. It is still dangerous for someone with my power.

Some lucky ones, who were weaker than me, were able to pass through the gate. That made me want to do the same, but I control myself.

It is not good to depend on luck too much. It is better to rely on cold hard facts, they never betray you in time, as luck does.

"Die!"

A Snakeman appeared in front of my illusion and moved its blade to kill it. Its blade reached the head of my illusion before suddenly stopping.

Puch!

I killed it; it had sensed something wrong, but it was a second too late. If it had sensed it a fraction of a second before, it might have been able to survive, and I would have needed to think about my life.

The Snakeman was no weakling; I could not defeat it. At most, I could have defended against it, but not too long.

I had come across such enemies too many times.

There are many Grimms, who are extremely strong. One wrong step against them. I will die.

So, I need to take every step carefully; it is the only way I would walk out of this ruin alive.
