Chapter 3570 Last
I looked at the exit and shook my head.
I am not leaving, and now there is another reason for me to not leave. The reward of this challenge will depend on completing the next.
I turned toward the black door leading to the next challenge and walked toward it.
Hun!
Immediately, I was surprised, because I had changed and directly entered the challenge from the door. There was no tunnel, nothing; I had just stepped into the challenge.
However, the surprise of that had only remained for a moment before a deep shock appeared on my face.
"Abomination," I muttered, seeing a massive semi-humanoid with hundreds of mouths and giant eyes; that covered nearly all its eyes.
It had a head, neck, and chest, but on the place for the legs and arms; it had tentacles. Tens of tentacles and, like all parts of its body, had mouths with bloody teeth all over them.
Each of those mouths is big enough to swallow a native whole easily.
The abomination is massive; about the side of a nine-story building. It looked fearsome, with a massive red eye.
Thankfully, it is not a real thing; it is a construct of bronze energy. Though not completely. In the center of the chest crystal and on it is dense white liquid; that is, wanting to get out.
"Blood of Grand Progenitor," said Crockman, not far away from with eyes red with greed.
I don't think this challenge is simple.
It is clear that we will need to fight this construct, but the fight will be far from easy; there might even be some nasty surprises.
I looked at the giant scroll with runes before turning to the bronze crystal in front of me.
I walked toward it without delay and picked it up, before placing it in the middle of my chest. Immediately, the bronze crystal melted and began to spread over my body and soon it had covered me.
Buzz!
As it did, it buzzed, and I felt a large memory package entered my mind. As I scanned it, a smile couldn't help, but appear on my face.
A few seconds later, the change began to appear on it, and in a few seconds, it had transformed into proper armor.
In this challenge, we couldn't use our strength. We have to fight through the means that the challenge has provided and through it; it has given everyone a similar strength.
It is very manipulative, not just in appearance, but also in power. I could choose any type of power; elemental, physical, or a combination of them.
lights??vel The same goes for weapons and other things.
Like others, I have already started, and it took me over twenty minutes to decide everything, before I started to move to get used to the power of things.
There are one hundred and three of us here; of them, thirty-four are native and seventy-nine Grimms. Their numbers are a little more than twice ours; compared to over six, when we entered here.
It wouldn't have mattered if their numbers had been higher in this challenge, as we won't be fighting with each other.
Our enemy is an abomination, and Grimms are strangely fixated on that. Especially the white liquid inside man the crystal; they are looking at it with hunger and reverence.
They have said, it is the blood of the grand primogenitor; I have no opinion since I couldn't sense anything.
If what Grimms is saying is true, then this challenge would be more uncreditable than I thought it would be.
Hun!
Minutes passed and soon, there were only ten minutes, before the challenge began, when a shocking thing happened.
The man's size red crystal inside the bronze construct lit up and I felt an aura that brought me to my knees before I even knew it.
I looked around and saw many people; there was not a single one who was standing still. Some people are completely on the floor, while the Grimms kneel fully to the construct.
It was really a struggle to look back at the abomination and when I did; I received another shock.
The flesh begins to appear on the abomination; the mist comes out and begins to turn into the flesh. Forming part of mouths and even teeth; the skin that is forming rotten, that just looking at it, I wanted to vomit.
The changes continued for over five minutes before the mist stopped.
Now, the construct is 30% flesh, but I am not looking at that. I am looking at the giant eye, which is half flesh and half energy, and it is looking at us with cruel intelligence in it.
It scared the shit out of me.
I could see many people looking at it like they had seen the greatest nightmare of their lives, and it was.
Many people, including me, who had been expecting just a fight are dead wrong. It is more than a fight; here we will fight part of the greatest danger our universe has ever faced.
The Titan is giving us an example of what we will face in the future. If we were able to cross the level above the Prime.
Those below it has no right to fight against such things, but we have given them a chance to fight it and some people are excited about it. Like the horned woman, she looked like she wanted to fight it immediately.
I was looking at it, when the giant eye spun toward me, looking directly into my little eyes.
I felt like, I had submerged into the cold abyss and there was no way out of it. Every moment, I am drowning deeper and deeper into it.
I was falling when I began to struggle.
I couldn't let myself be defeated before the battle even began. I had fought against the abomination, no matter how de-powered it was, but I did and had done considerable damage to it.
Even after so many years, I know that abomination was extreme. Far more powerful than this one.
If I didn't get killed by that one, there is no way I would get killed by this abomination.
So, I harnessed every bit of the will I had and forced myself out of the cold abyss. It was a struggle, but I finally came out.
Its eye raged in anger and I looked directly at it, despite knowing the danger of it putting it back to me into the abyss. I have to face it; if I couldn't do this little thing, I wouldn't be able to face it when the real battle starts.
The battle had already begun, and we will fight it in a few minutes.
The battle will be the toughest, I have faced here. It is a battle, where some of our people had already fallen unconscious, some fell on the floor and now struggling to get up.
Compared to us natives; the Grimms seemed fine.
They are kowtowing with the big smiles on their face. It seemed like they were not feeling the effects we are, which is not surprising.
The abominations are their primogenitors; they are the ones who made them. This brought another question; will they help us against the abomination?
