Chapter 3624 Critter Pod I
The roots were undone slowly and there was nothing that had remained.
They had broken and consumed the very blades that my totem artifact couldn't cut through. It is not just the blades they consumed, but everything, including its very soul.
Not even a single piece of flesh or speck of soul had remained, and they had done that in less than a minute, while I had watched in shock.
I had expected many things, but not this, and immediately asked my clones to look for the relationship between the world and critters.
The roots burrow back into the ground, till they had completely disappeared. The only sign that had remained is soil.
I could fix it with a single command, but I didn't.
Hun!
A few seconds passed, and I was about to leave the core, as I was in a very dangerous place, when something surprising happened.
Rustle Rustle Rustle
The huge tree began to glow gently before it started growing.
The branches expand, and new branches begin to come out of it before leaves start to spurt out.
The tree is also growing taller, but the speed is very slow.
So much so that others wouldn't notice; I did because it is my world, and nothing is hidden in here.
The growth had continued for two minutes and seven seconds before it stopped, but the glow covering the tree intensified, instead of lessening, and with it came the familiar energy.
Growth Energy.
I was a little surprised, but quickly directed to the new plants.
It had been a few months since I had come back from the ser august realm and gotten hold of a few needs' seeds. They have been growing slowly, but as the growth energy is directed at them, their growth is spurted to visible speed.
"So, the bodies of the critter are not so useless," I said.
Like the Grimm, the critters are also useless; they are more useless than the Grimms. Unlike the Grimms, who could be converted to crystals, critters are not.
The books said it is wise to burn them as they are dead.
It didn't make me much happy, because even if this had been the case. It wouldn't help much getting out of here unless we were here for a long time. Then it would become tremendously useful.
I looked for a few seconds before getting out.
I wave my hand and a couple of seconds later. The twelve rubies come rolling on the ground slowly, absorbing every aura that is in their path; especially my aura, till not even the trade of them had remained.
Soon, they reached my feet, and I pulled them in my hand.
I called them rubies of silence; once activated, they will hide the presence of battle by absorbing all the auras. They will even create an illusion of nothing and beguile the soul sense, hiding those within.
It had restrictions and needed to be charged with very expensive energies, but seeing the job they did, all was worth it.
With them, I will be able to fight the battle with fewer worries about being discovered. It is my biggest worry, especially here.
I put them in my core, and its black disc appeared in my hand.
Disc of Relusion.
It is not the one I had forged, but the one, I had got from the Grimm. It is one of the rewards in the temple of Irudin; it had chosen by the Grimm.
However, I got it from the completely different Grimm. It had likely killed the one who got it; not that I cared. I am just happy, that I got the disc; it is one of the things I wanted from the reward.
Buzz!
I adjusted the parameters, as noted in the book, and activated the disk.
It begins to release the energies and starts to test the spatial fabric, with a hundred different tests. I watched till it finished six minutes later, and data appeared in front of me.
Looking at the data, I shook.
I had expected I might be in the place; I am thinking, but seeing the confirmation shook me.
"Critter Pod," I said. That spatial wave had sent me to the critter pod.
The critter pods are spatial realms housing the critters. They are spread across the world and now and then; one of them would open and critters come out like tide and every organization would stop what they are doing and deal with them.
They would stop, even if they were fighting the mortal war, and deal with them, because unlike Grimms.
These critters grow too fast. If not, dealt with quickly; they wouldn't have the organization to fight for.
It is a critter pod, which means the exit will be where the hive-queen is. There is no other way out of it; the books had said it and the data from the black disc had verified it.
There is no luck this is a degraded pod; no, its structure is too stable. Still, I will keep looking.
I put the disc into my storage to let my clones study the data, while I moved toward the colored place. This time, I am being more cautious.
I can not get discovered by the enemy. If they discover me; they might call a tide; this one had tried to do that in the end, but my rubies had contained that signal.
An hour passed and then another; I didn't see anything. Not a critter or a fellow people; not even a torn cloth or artifact.
I am looking everywhere; the soul waves are constantly releasing from me and coming back with the data. I had even adjusted them, according to this pod, to search for the specific thing.
'The evening will be soon,' I said, sometime later, looking at the sky.
I don't know if this place changes at night, but it would be wise if I hid in the night. The critter becomes most active at night, and I don't want to come across, I couldn't defeat.
Hun!
A few minutes passed, and I sensed the familiar aura again.
It is a critter, and I moved toward it cautiously, and soon, I had come across it. It is smaller than, I had fought and also the weaker.
It seemed to Peak Sovereign, and it was moving as if it was patrolling.
I got closer to it and remained invisible while my strings did their job on it. It took less than a minute to wrap the strings, but I didn't immediately pull it inside my core.
No, instead, I did a few experiments.
There are a few things written in the books and I wanted to test them. I did it for a few minutes and collected some samples before pulling it into my core.
lightsn?v?l I directly put it, in the shadows of a tree, and like before, the roots came out and tore it before started consuming it, including its warped soul.
Once it finished, it glowed and released the growth of energy not long after.
I didn't stay in my core long and continued with my journey. I didn't have much time and would like to cover as much as distance before setting my abode for the night.
