Chapter 4255 Caves II
It didn't take them long to notice me.
They were cautious at first, but after sensing my power and identity. They relaxed a little.
Soon, I appeared in front of them.
"Prime Arys," said the red-skinned man with long hair. Beside him is an elf woman with a bald head. Which is rare, seeing how much elf treasure their hair.
That didn't go away, even when they reached the level of Prime, but this one didn't care.
"Prime Gatayil, Prime Saryn," I replied.
Both of them are High-Prime, but the woman is more dangerous. It is said, she had comprehended the law, but they aren't sure about it.
I am, not because I could sense it, but because of the way she reacted.
I had been watching her reaction well. When she had discovered me, her expression was cautious, but relief appeared a moment later.
Both of them were relieved, but she was more relieved than the man beside her.
"Are both of you going to the scarton?" I asked, and I could see them becoming cautious for a moment before nodding.
"I was hoping you would tell. Which part have they found, Micheal Zaar? I really want to scour the whole area for it," I asked.
"They didn't find Micheal Zaar. They found the signs of forbidden power," replied the woman.
I didn't show any surprise on my face. I did it intentionally. So, they know I have some information and might be able to tell. If they lie about it.
"What did they find?" I asked. "No ideas," replied the man, and I felt like he was telling the truth, but I could be wrong.
"Oh, well, it's disappointing. Mind telling me, which area in scarton they have found the traces of the forbidden power?" I asked.
Scarton is huge. So much, to explore; it will take weeks, and I haven't even reached there.
There was a silence. Even glare.
As expected, it didn't work. If it had been common High-Prime; they would have attacked me already.
That's why, the next moment, a box appeared in hand and floated toward them. Nothing free; that box had something good. It will sweeten things.
"Lakos Cavern," replied the woman finally after opening the box.
"Thank you," I replied and walked away.
Lakos Cavern is not the biggest cavern, but it is the biggest cavern in scarton.
It is massive.
It is a spatially expanded space, and the most visited place, the scarton sector of the pakalim. People still find things there as long as things appear and disappear because of the spatial imbalance.
That is why that place is also very dangerous. It wasn't a long ago; a Peak Prime had died in there.
If I am lucky, I should be able to reach there by tomorrow.
It took me a few minutes to get out of their soul range, seeing both of them moving in the same direction and their speed wasn't slow, either.
But there are a lot of caves here. So, we aren't moving along the same route.
I am choosing to move through the caves that still have resources, and my soul waves are helping me tremendously with that and also my strings.
A few minutes passed when suddenly, I remembered something. That made me shake my head.
I forgot an important. I didn't ask them if they had seen Carter. I hope he didn't die, or I would need to change the organization.
I will ask the next person, I will see.
Hun!
I had just thought that when I sensed the next person.
A few minutes later, I walked away in disappointment from him. Like the rest, he didn't know what they had found the traces of forbidden power on.
He also didn't know or heard anything about Carter.
I kept a hope, that he was alive, and if he was, then I would eventually find him in the lakos cavern.
It is where everyone is going.
A few hours passed, and I came across people, but they did not have any idea. Like me and Carter, they have heard about the forbidden power and came running in here.
"This seemed like a good place," I said as I stopped in a cavern filled with buildings and took out my abode, after entering inside one of the buildings.
These buildings are the best protection from the storm. I will be safe here, even if the storm rages outside.
I didn't put up any protection. My abode alone is more than enough. If I put the protections, they might be discovered; my abode is much harder to discover.
I entered inside and freshened up, before eating.
I wanted to cook, but this isn't the place. So, I ate what my clone had cooked, before laying on the bed and closing my eyes.
"How is it going?" I asked my clone as I appeared at my core. I didn't have to ask it. Since I know, but I am feeling lonely and want to talk to someone.
Even if that someone is my own clone.
"Harder than I had thought. The moss, isn't easy to work with," it replied.
It is working on the formula that will protect me from the storm.
These experiments are using a lot of precious resources. My heart burns when I see it, but necessary to save my life when the time comes.
For it, I won't hesitate to use any resources I have.
"It would have been easier. If we had the fresher sample," I replied with a sigh.
I need fresh moss; the one that grows right after the storm dissipates, but I didn't come across such moss.
The latest has been nine hours after the storm. Which might seem very fresh, but I need fresher. The best would be the one that grows in the first hour.
I watched it for a while and offered a few suggestions, before entering the library.
There, I wanted to comprehend the laws, but that would take time, and I have to practice later. So, I didn't, instead, work on my inheritance for a few hours, before walking out of the core.
