Chapter 337 Who She Was
Chapter 337 Who She Was
Of course, Shu Rushi's friends never thought alike with her.
One, she was stressing them when they had other things to do.
How long was she going to keep them in the store when the kind of dress she wanted to wear for the event was not even known to her?
But they had no choice than to wait on her.
After much deliberation, Shu Rushi picked a handless red mini-gown.
"Do you think Mr. Fang will smile upon your face in that dress?" One of the girls asked with a horrified look on her face.
'It looks more like you are on a mission to seduce this cousin of yours...' The other thought silently in her head.
All her friends thought that putting on that particular dress signified she had a different agenda from the one she made known to them.
Also, while wearing red to an event that wasn't hers? Well, at least it's better she wasn't attending a funeral in that dress.
Glancing at the dress she just took off the rack, Shu Rushi answered back, "There is nothing worth more than a beautiful girl in a pretty dress."
As the corners of her lips curled into a perfect smile, she turned to the shop attendant close by. "I will try this one."
Walking away to go change her dress, her friends watched her, dumbfounded at the situation.
"Remind not to follow Rushi on this kind of shopping." One of the girls sighed and walked away tiredly.
The other two stood at the same spot and stared at each other.
"My ankle is hurting because I've been on this meaninglessly walk for over 2 hours."
"You can still feel your feet? I can't even feel anything down there," the other one said, almost rolling her eyes out of annoyance.
All three were annoyed, but that was nothing, compared to anger that shot up to their head when their very good self-centred friend decided to pick one more dress just in case she changed her mind about the red dress on the day of the event.
How much they wanted to bare their fans at her, but they couldn't because they were like Shu Rushi's lads as she used to get them things.
The much they could do was to rein in their anger and frustration.

The next day, which was exactly a day before Glint's launch, Zhang Liling went to the Zhang Corp to personal invite her father to her brand's launch.
Once it was 2:30 pm, she went to her bedroom to freshen up after having lunch with her mother.
Dressed in a bright yellow sleeveless jumpsuit, she picked up her black handbag and carried the customized box she had long prepared for her father.
Coming back into the living room, she asked her mother about her looks to let her judge how appropriate it was.
"Mum, how do I look? Is this outfit okay?" She asked, twirling around on her heels, and with the box in her palms.
As Song Jujing's eyes darted around her body to look for any flaw in her looks and outfit, she gave her opinion.
"The sun is still hot. Not bad."
Her verdict was almost confusing but fortunately, Zhang Liling understood.
The sleeveless jumpsuit was fine because of how hot the weather was.
"Thank you. I have to hit the road before I meet with traffic." Zhang Liling quickly said and rushed toward the door in her pair of black stilettos.
Afraid that she might get injured at that rate of her rush, Song Jujing hurriedly cautioned her with worry visible on her face.
"Can you also down? I don't think you want to appear before your distinguished guests in pain and with bruises all over your body, plus a plaster of Paris shielding the ugly sight from their view.
Song Jujing was truly very good at berating people. Her methods were top-notch. Such that Zhang Liling almost thought she was wishing her bad luck.
Outside her apartment, Zhang Liling took a cab straight to Zhang Corp with all confidence.
As soon as the car pulled over in front of the tall building towering in heights, she paid her fare and stepped out with the box in her palms once again.
Glancing at the building with a pair of dark shades over her eyes, the corners of her lips curled.
'This is what I will be fighting for? Well I'm too lazy to do it myself.' Thinking such to herself, she exhaled deeply before continuing in her steps toward the building as the cab driver drove away.
Zhang Liling made her way to the receptionist desk to make an office appearance.
"Hello, I'm here to see the owner of Zhang Corp."
Normally, there should be two receptionist at the desk, but as one had left for an errand, the only one remaining had to stay and attend to matters.
Finding Zhang Liling to be familiar as she stared at her face with a scrutinizing gaze, the right thing to do would have been to confirm her name before deciding to let her in, but instead, she chose to provoke her.
Almost rolling her eyes on her while at the same time looking down on her, the receptionist asked, "Did you book an appointment to see Mr. Zhang?"
Feeling the deep disdain in her tone, Zhang Liling scoffed.
In anger, she slammed the box in her hands on the wooden flat surface of the reception, instantly startling her before slowly taking off her dark shades
"Do I need an appointment to see my father? Forget it. You have offended me greatly, and I'm proud to tell you that I hold so many degrees and medals in bearing grudges."
Putting back her sunshades, she picked up the box and added before turning around to walk past the security stand that required an approved working ID before walking through, immediately attracting the attention of the security guards.
"You better get yourself another job before you are thrown out of this place without warning."
The receptionist was dumbfounded by her audacity.
Was she going to fire her? What right did she have to do that?
'What an arrogant girl!' She thought with a face full of annoyance.
