Chapter 98 Definition Of Friends
Chapter 98 Definition Of Friends
Zhang Liling was so mad that sleep immediately left her eyes.
She had to face Mr. Fang if he minded, and then her father who would never miss out on minding, once he sees the news.
She was his daughter, so this was going to make waves.
The next thing Zhang Liling did was get out of bed. She went into the bathroom to wash up and while brushing her teeth, she screamed in the middle of it.
"I feel like suing someone but I don't have a damn lawyer!"
Zhang Liling sounded pissed while glaring at herself in the mirror with gritted teeth. She was going to try and find out who dared to do that to her.
If she doesn't succeed, she will give a note of warning.
When she was done freshening up, she picked up her bag and left her bedroom to go and find Mr. Fang, but she was told that he had already left for work.
She could only sigh and leave for school while hoping that she would not be scolded when she returns.
Anywhere Zhang Liling went, heads turned as long as the students knew about the rumours.
They could not do anything more than steal glances at her. But when she left their side, they would continue with the gossip.
"If you have a lot of bad luck these days, you should tell me so I can stay away from you." Tungmei joked.
"Why would I tell you something like that when I can just rub it on you and force you to bear the burden with me?" Zhang Liling retorted.
"Now I can see more clearly the definition of what friends are for…" Tungmei said as she trailed off.
"I will take you for lunch today," Zhang Liling said with a smile/
Tungmei asked with a curious gaze, "Are you not supposed to do something about the rumour?"
"I can't do much other than threatening them. This is the reason we have to pay a visit to the newsroom to give a warning…" Zhang Liling said with a smirk.
She already had plans of how to settle the rumour, which will be a totally different method.
Tungmei looked surprised as she asked, "You want me to come with you? Are you kidding me or what?"
There was a visible frown on her face which showed just how much displeased she was. She didn't want to follow her to go make a mess somewhere as usual.
Zhang Liling knew this and couldn't help chuckling.
"Don't worry, I won't get physical. And I'm not going to drag you into any mess. I am also quite careful about my reputation now."
Yes, she was not going to do anything that will bring the negative light to her again. She was very concerned about how Mr. Fang saw her.
"How can I trust you on this one?" Tungmei asked.
She didn't want to be lured into trouble without knowing.
"I have always been a good friend to you. I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. If I want to cause trouble, I would tell you directly, and then figure out how to convince you to join."
Tungmei couldn't help laughing not after this. That truly was her style. "I trust you now." She said with a big smile on her face.
"That's more like it." Zhang Liling said with a bright smile.
When the first lecture for the day ended, these two friends went to the newsroom managed by some selected students that worked there.
This was the room where important information was passed through the speakers placed in the lecture rooms and outside the buildings.
The rumours about her were spread on the platform, but she was going to pass a warning most effectively, and that was through the newsroom.
"What are you doing here?" The 3 students in the room heard the door open just like that without a knock and had to turn their heads to see who was that rude person that just came in.
When they saw Zhang Liling walk in with a smirk, they were even more surprised.
"Why do you all look so shocked to see me?" Zhang Liling asked as she stepped in with Tungmei.
By now, the 3 students in the room had already taken off their headphones. The now had a serious gaze fixed on her.
One of them, a girl replied sarcastically, "Well someone barged in without the basic principle of knocking."
It was obvious that she wasn't afraid of her and which family she came from.
Zhang Liling smiled, "Your tongue is sharp enough to exchange words with me, but girl, I don't have that kind of time. I want to pass on important information."
"You want to make use of this room?" The guy sitting in the middle asked with a frown.
"Yes, is there a problem with that?" Zhang Liling shifted her gaze to him.
"Of course, there is a problem with it." The girl said after a scoff.
The second guy in the room finally spoke, "You have to get permission from the professor in charge of the newsroom to make use of this space, or you can become a member. But it's too late."
Tungmei stepped forward to ask, "Don't you hear the rumours about her? She has come to pass a piece of very important information to those students misleading others."
"This has nothing to do with us because the rumours did not spread through this platform," The first guy said.
"Are you going to take responsibility if this matter escalates and my father intervenes? You 3 will be losing a lot" Zhang Liling threatened.
The lady threw a question back to her. "What about you, are you going to take responsibility if we are penalized for granting you an audience without permission?"
"Of course!" Zhang Liling agreed. "Don't forget who my father is. If my reputation is tarnished by those foolish students and the school doesn't do anything about it, he will do something."
Zhang Liling gave them a few minutes to ponder over her words for a few moments. This was like classwork assigned to them.
