Stella became even more convinced of her assumption upon hearing what Keegan said. “What a scum! He only started dating Felicity not long ago, and he already wants to do the deed with her!”

“I guess he just loves her too much,” Keegan said.

“My foot!” Stella retorted, “He’s been spending nights with Felicity these days. Felicity would have been his victim if I hadn’t called her!”

“You’re overthinking. Vermont wouldn’t force Ms. Thompson if she is not willing to…” Keegan paused before he corrected himself. “Vermont can’t force her into doing anything anyway. He’s no match for her.”

His words left Stella speechless.

“That’s not the point! Vermont is very persuasive, and he might succeed with a few sweet words! No way, I’ve got to make her come back!”

Stella was about to get up as she spoke, but Keegan wrapped his arm around her waist before pulling her back down.

“Stella, I know you’re worried about Ms. Thompson, but as outsiders, it’s not right for us to meddle in their relationship too much. You can never guarantee that your interference will lead to the outcome that your friend truly desires.

“Ms. Thompson is an adult, and she can make her own judgment. If you were to interfere after she asked for your help or you found out that Vermont mistreated her, then I won’t stop you.”

Stella frowned. Although she did not want to admit it, she figured that what Keegan said was right.

She was worried that Felicity might be taken advantage of, but she could never be sure of how Felicity felt toward Vermont.

Felicity had always been talking about Vermont lately, and she would even think of buying him groceries when they were shopping in the supermarket. And, when the light bulb in their house went out, she immediately asked Vermont to help without hesitating.

Perhaps she really was being overprotective.

Stella kept quiet for some time before she finally spoke again. “I’ve got to call Felicity and ask her if she’s willing to stay with Vermont first. I can’t just allow things to go you and Vermont’s way like this.”

“No.” Stella paused before asking Felicity in a low voice,” Felicity, do you have any plans to live together with Vermont?”

“Keegan told me that Vermont wants to live together with you, and he asked him to stay in our place. Vermont is trying to make you stay with him. But, I didn’t agree to it because I wanted to ask for your opinion first. So, do you want to live with Vermont?”
