Keegan stepped outside and gave Stella a call.
He felt a little relieved after knowing that she was still in the room. He then spoke to a hotel staff to prepare some food and bring it to the room later. Then, he took the elevator upstairs.
He opened the door, and the room was brightly lit.
Keegan closed the door, walked inside, and saw Stella sitting with her legs crossed while playing a game on the bed.
He approached her, sat down next to her, and wrapped his arm around her waist. “What are you playing?”
Stella’s face remained emotionless, as she played the game. “Escape Room – One Hundred Ways to Kill Your Boyfriend.”
Keegan was speechless.
‘Is that… really the name of a game?’
Keegan thought to himself for a moment. ‘Even though I didn’t do anything extraordinary tonight, it was at least acceptable, right? She has no reason to be sarcastic, does she?
Maybe it’s really just the name of a game.’
Keegan asked, “How does this game work?”
“It’s very simple. You just have to search the room for usable items and find a way to murder the boyfriend in order to win.
Keegan kept quiet.
‘This game… is so violent. How did it even get approved?’
Keegan thought for a moment before he asked again, “Why did the developer of this game choose a name like that? Did her boyfriend cheat on her?”
Stella replied resentfully, “He should just be castrated if he did! What he did is worse than cheating!”
Worse than cheating?’ Keegan put himself in Stella’s shoes and said, “Did he scam her for money?”
Stella snorted coldly. “He gifted something another woman gave him to his girlfriend. Don’t you think he deserves to die? if
Keegan was taken aback. “Maybe it’s because he thought that it was something that his girlfriend would like?”
Stella glowered at him. “What? Something that another woman had worn? What’s even worse is that he accepted gifts from another woman!”
Keegan pursed his lips and said, “You’re right. He shouldn’t have done that. It’s inappropriate for him to do so when he already has a girlfriend.”
Stella gritted her teeth. “You think so too, right? So, tell me, how should he die?”
Keegan thought to himself, ‘Well, I don’t think he deserves to
die just because he did that.’
However, after seeing the stern look on Stella’s face, he said, “What do you think?”
“What do I think?” Stella grounded her teeth. “I think he should be castrated and chopped into a million pieces!”
Keegan was shocked.
“Should I stay outside for a while and come back in after you’re done with this level?”
He felt like his girlfriend was getting a little too into the game.
Stella glanced at him. Then, she raised her left arm and jingled the bracelet on her arm. In an instant, her voice took on the tone of Jaylene. “Keegan, do you think this bracelet looks good?”
Keegan was taken aback. He frowned and asked, “Why are you imitating her?”
“Oh,” Stella said coldly. “Am I not doing it right? Let me try a different tone.”
Then, she pretended to speak like Jaylene again. “Keegan, I can give it to you if you like it.”
Keegan kept quiet.
What Stella said was almost identical to what Jaylene had said to him during the dinner back then.
Suddenly, he remembered Stella’s sarcastic remarks from just now and asked, “Did you think that Jaylene gave me this bracelet?”
Stella glared at him. “Isn’t that what happened? She told me everything!”
Keegan brought his brows together and responded, “She told you that she gave it to me?”
