Chapter 1801

“Oh my, young people these days are so bold and daring. I can’t believe they’re hugging in such a crowded public area. Wait- That doesn’t look like Jaylene,” Claire stated.

“S-Stella?” she uttered as the woman lifted her head.

Didn’t Dahlia say that Keegan and Stella have broken up? She told us that he and Jaylene were building a bond. What is going on???’

Since returning to Cordelia’s residence, Dahlia had gradually become active in her previous social circle. Although she wasn’t as warmly received as before due to her previous downfall, the affluent wives in Rivera couldn’t completely ignore her. After all, she was still the biological mother of the Kane family heir. The Kanes would not completely abandon her due to her ties to the family.

Indeed, shortly after Keegan’s incident, Dahlia returned to the Kane family and regained her status.

Dahlia had spread the news about Keegan wanting to annul his engagement with Stella. She also told people about how he was getting close to Jaylene and that they were going to get married. People were puzzled about why he would leave the Sauns’ legitimate daughter for someone else, but they kept silent, thinking Dahlia would know the situation better.

They were discussing when Keegan should propose to Jaylene when they saw Keegan intimately embracing his ex- wife in the bustling mall.

“Why does it seem like you have been misinformed, Dahlia? I heard Stella has moved back to Royalpark Villa,” Olivia chuckled and teased.

She was not the only one who had heard the news.

However, Dahlia had deliberately avoided the topic and kept praising Jaylene. So, the ladies did not bring the matter up.

Only Claire was naive and trusting to believe Dahlia’s words without question.

“She’s shameless! Why would she insist on living with Keegan when he is about to annul their engagement?!” she exclaimed.

Olivia laughed and said, “Claire, Mrs. Kane Sr. was the one who arranged for Ms. Hall to live with Keegan. Ms. Hall agreed out of duty to help Keegan recover his memory. As heiress of the Saun family, she has everything she needs. Why would she need to latch onto another family? What could she possibly gain? Approval? Criticism?”

These words hit a nerve for many of the ladies present. Despite their glamorous appearance, only they knew what goes on behind closed doors.

Even those who had once helped their husbands build successful careers found themselves in a disadvantaged position once detached from the workplace. Their economic status determined their family status. Living within their husbands’ social circles meant being dependent on them.

In case of any disputes, their husbands could argue that they’re providing for their wives.

Like the others, Claire was among those affected, and the comment left her uneasy.

Dahlia glanced at Olivia and calmly said, “Your information is indeed accurate. But as you said, she’s there to help him with his memories, not to be in a relationship with him.”

‘They’re literally hugging,’ thought Olivia.

She smirked, pretended to be shocked, and asked, “Dahlia, haven’t you seen Keegan’s recent post on social media?”

“What post?”

“No wonder you don’t know,” Olivia said, lowering her voice.” Keegan recently clarified his relationship with Jaylene. He stated that he considers her a sister-then, now, and forever.

This revelation echoed in the ears of everyone present, eliciting various reactions. They were puzzled about Dahlia’s thought process after knowing she had fabricated the relationship between Jaylene and Keegan.
