“Okay,” Aurora murmured, lowering her head.

Dahlia gestured dismissively. “You should go back and get some sleep.”

However, Aurora remained rooted to the spot. Instead, she asked Dahlia, “Mom, is Stella pregnant?”

The look on Dahlia’s face changed as she spoke in a serious tone, “What did you hear?”

“I couldn’t catch everything. I just heard you mention her being pregnant,” Aurora inquired softly. “Is it true?”

Dahlia had raised Aurora from infancy, and Keegan had once locked her up for a few days because of Stella. Considering the deep-seated conflict between them, Dahlia seemed to believe there was nothing she couldn’t share with Aurora.

“Your brother was previously planning a divorce,” Dahlia disclosed, “but suddenly brought her back to the Royalpark Villa, claiming he needed her assistance.

“Even Cordelia hired a nutritionist to take care of them. I suspected something was amiss and had your uncle investigate.

“Turns out, your brother lied about why he wanted her to stay. The truth is, she’s pregnant!”

Aurora lowered her gaze and asked, “Keegan’s going to be a father soon. Isn’t that a good thing? Weren’t you always hoping for Stella to get pregnant?”

“What’s good about that?” Dahlia looked annoyed. Seeing the confused expression on Aurora’s face, she suddenly realized that Aurora was unaware of her drugging Stella. It was information known to only

a few.

Dahlia composed herself and spoke softly, “He disowned me because of her. Do you understand how much Stella despises us? If she has his child, do you think there’ll be any place for us in this family?”

Aurora pursed her lips and said, “Mom, we’re Keegan’s family. He won’t let Stella do whatever she wants.”

Dahlia asserted vehemently, “How naive of you! Don’t you remember how he had you locked up because of Stella?

“He was so afraid that something might happen to him that he made a will in advance, giving most of his wealth to Stella. When has he ever cared about us?

“If her child is born, and he gains full control of Vinci Rivera after Cordelia passes away, Stella will make our lives miserable.

“I can’t let the baby be born!”

Aurora clenched her fists tighter, seemingly recalling her past ordeal when she was imprisoned, causing her face to pale.

After a pause, she asked, “Mom, what’s your plan?”

With a stern face, Dahlia said, “The maid from Royalpark

Villa has been complaining to me these days, saying that Stella will only listen to everything that the nutritionist says. I think we can use this person.”

“Outsiders can’t be trusted,” Aurora said with a cold expression, “Mom, let me do it. Stella caused my imprisonment. I want to personally take revenge on her and make her feel the pain.”

Dahlia was taken aback. “You? No way. What if Keegan finds

Mom, do you think he won’t find out if you made the maid do it?” Aurora interrupted, her tone firm. “No matter who carries it out, he could still uncover the truth eventually.

But if Stella were to lose her baby right under his nose, do you think she could ever forgive him? Even if he discovers I did it, what could he do?

“I’m his sister, and for the sake of our family’s reputation, he wouldn’t dare to take action against me. I have to seek revenge for myself!”

Aurora spoke with bitterness, her gaze turning icy. Her fingers trembled, revealing the deep-seated hatred she held.

Dahlia harbored mistrust toward the maid as well.

Considering the gravity of the situation involving a human life, even a slight mistake could result in a tragedy.

Having Aurora take charge was, in a way, more secure than relying on an outsider.

Moreover, as Aurora pointed out, she was a part of the Kane family, and for the family’s honor, Keegan and Cordelia would likely avoid drastic measures.

Just like in the past when evidence linked Jackson to Keegan’s abduction, everything had been brushed aside in the end, and Jackson was even released on bail.
