Chandler ignored Cyrene's words and said in a low voice," Stop making a scene. Wait for me in the

car."

Cyrene grabbed his shirt and said sharply, "I said you're not going! Does she not have children to help

her? Why are you even here?"

"Would she still need to call me if Keegan and Aurora are willing to come? I'm sure that she has no

other options."

Cyrene was furious. "Why are you helping her if even her children don't want to? Even if they don't

come, she still has her brother. Who do you think you are?"

Chandler's expression turned unpleasant momentarily, "Why are you saying things like this? Isn't

Dahlia a part of our family too? Do you think our family’s reputation won't be affected if something

happened to her?"

"So, you do care about the Kane family's reputation, huh?" Cyrene sneered. "Do you know exactly

what happened tonight and why she was arrested then?"

Chandler frowned. "Regardless of what happened, we can't just leave her alone, right?"

Cyrene explained, "Erick Chapman was arrested. Dahlia played matchmaker for Erick's daughter and

Ricky Adam.

"The Public Integrity Section is investigating Erick now, and if she has something to do with him, the

Kane family will be involved too!

"Do you still want to bail her out? Aren't you worried that the others would speak ill of us?"

With a stern face, Chandler said, "Dahlia said that she has no financial dealings with Erick. You don't

have to worry about this."

"And you trust her just because she said so? If she didn't say that, would you still rush here to bail her

out."

Chandler pursed his lips and said, "After all, we're family. We can't just ignore her."

Cyrene questioned Chandler, "Are you suggesting that we should put our entire family's reputation at

risk then?

"Quentin has been dead for so many years, yet the Kane family treated her very well. What's your

relationship with her?

"Why are you so worried about her? I'm your wife and I'm the person who gave birth to your child.

"Who is she to you? Why would you want to secretly bail her out without telling me? What do you take

me for?"

Chandler felt embarrassed for arguing with Cyrene at the police station, so he pulled her close and

tried to calm her down.

"I'm just going to pay the bail and get her out. What are you so worked up about?" he asked softly.

Cyrene slapped his hand away as her eyes turned red. She said, "Chandler Kane, I know that you

secretly gave Dahlia money when she was kicked out of the Kane family.

"Quentin treated us well, so I turned a blind eye when you helped her. However, you're crossing the line

today!

"If you go into that door today, we're over. Tomorrow, we'll get the paperwork done, and you can boil out

whoever you want. Don't drag me and Jackson into this!"

Chandler's expression turned grave. "Are you threatening me with divorce?"

"Yes! Try it if you don't believe me!" Cyrene said through her gritted teeth, "Not only will I divorce you,

but I'll also make sure to get every share of Vinci Rivera I deserve. Let's see what you'll use to compete

with Keegan then!"

Chandler was infuriated as he pointed at her angrily. "Fine, fine. Divorce it is. Just wait."

He pushed her aside as he spoke and told the lawyer to follow him. Cyrene's expression was cold.

The next moment, two sports cars sped out from the side, blocking the entrance of the police station.

The cars' doors opened, and a few young men came out. Then, one of them stepped forward and said

with a smirk," Uncle, what are you doing here so late at night? Come on. I've booked a private room at

The Deli tonight. Let us accompany you for a few drinks."

Saying this, the young man hooked his arm around Chandler's and dragged him toward the car.

These were all Cyrene's nephews and two of them had served in the military. They were strong.

Although Chandler was tall and brawny, he was getting old, and he was no match for these young men.

Before he could resist much, he was held tightly, unable to move.

He looked at Cyrene, embarrassed. "Why did you bring them here?"

Cyrene's face remained cold. "Didn't you hear what they said? They want to have a few drinks with

you."

She signaled one of her nephews with a glance, and he immediately stuffed Chandler into the car.

Chandler struggled in vain, feeling frustrated. "How dare you do this in front of the police station? Are

you insane? Let go of me now!"

Upon hearing the commotion, the on-duty police at the entrance came over to check things out.

"What's going on?"

Chandler poked his head out and shouted, "Sir, these brats are kidnapping me!"

Cyrene smiled and said, "My dear husband, what nonsense are you talking about?"
