Chapter 1967

Aurora was a little scared that Aldor would ask about what happened, but he unexpectedly did not. This

included the incident back at the hotel and what Dahlia had said to her on the phone.

As Aurora was still cleaning her makeup, her stomach growled.

Suddenly, the atmosphere became awkward.

She had been worried all day about what Dahlia would do to Stella at the wedding, so she had not

eaten much. She only realized that she was hungry when her stomach growled.

However, at that moment, she felt embarrassed more than hungry.

Aldor did not say anything. Instead, he took a lunch box from the side and handed it to her.

A strong aroma of eggs filled the car, leaving Aurora stunned.

Aldor said, "My mom made some egg sandwiches for you. They might be a bit cold, though. If you don't

want it, I can take you somewhere else for a meal."

"It's fine." Aurora took the lunch box, lowered her gaze, and softly said, "There's no need for that. This

is good enough."

Aldor rolled down the window slightly and handed her a bottle of water. After that, he said, "Go ahead

and eat, then.

I'll take you home after you finish them."

Aurora nodded and started munching on the egg sandwiches.

"Mrs. Hart is really good at making these. They're delicious."

Really? She just started learning how to make them not long ago. She said that she saw you eating a

lot of egg sandwiches when we ate together, so she tried making them. So, when Mr. Kane wanted me

to pick you up, she prepared some for you to try."

Aurora was stunned. Then, she felt a lump in her throat and started crying again.

She was not even Aldor's girlfriend, yet Sylvia was already willing to learn and make something she

liked to eat. In contrast, her own mother just heartlessly framed her for her personal motives.

Aldor saw her crying again and asked with a frown, "Is it so bad that you're crying?"

Aurora laughed upon hearing what Aldor said and continued crying again. "Shut up."

Aldor chuckled. "That's right. This is the disdainful look I was talking about."

Aurora was speechless.

She held the lukewarm sandwiches in her hands, but her heart was filled with warmth.

In the end, no one came to bail out Dahlia. Blake was in the midst of a divorce, and all his money had

been frozen by his wife. Although he wanted to help, there was nothing he could do.

As for others, Dahlia had already burned all her bridges, so no one was willing to help her.

After leaving the police station, Keegan went to Cordelia's home and stayed there until 1 a.m. before

returning to his house.

Stella could not stay awake and had fallen asleep long ago. However, she kept the bedroom light on for

him.

Keegan walked over to the bed and removed the book resting on her stomach. Then, he tucked her in

and went to the bathroom.

After taking a hot shower, he came back to the bed.

Ever since he "lost" his memories, they had been using separate blankets on the same bed.

As he got into bed, he deftly removed Stella's blanket and then covered them both with his own.

When Stella felt a source of heat getting closer to her, she instinctively snuggled into Keegan's

embrace and hugged his waist.

Keegan stroked her disheveled hair, leaned down to kiss her gently, and slowly closed his eyes.

The next morning, when Stella tried to move after waking up, she was startled by the person above her.

She lifted her head, met Keegan's gaze, and realized she was clinging to him like a koala.

Keegan woke up from being half-asleep. He looked down at Stella's hand touching his chest and said,

"Are you enjoying it?"
