Dahlia was suddenly desperate when she saw the police were going to leave without doing anything. “You guys didn’t even find out anything and didn’t arrest anyone! You want to leave just like that?”

“Ms. Dahlia, we understand that you’re desperate to arrest the criminal. But we can’t solve the case by just guessing. We can’t simply arrest anyone that we suspect. Don’t worry, we’ll continue to follow up on this case. If there’s new information, we’ll contact you immediately.”

Dahlia could not accept such an outcome. She lashed out. “You guys are trash!”

The police officers’ facial expressions changed. “Ms. Dahlia, please watch your language!”

Dahlia glanced angrily at Stella and stormed out of the ward.

Stella pursed her lips. She stepped forward and said, “I’m sorry, police officers. My mother-in- law was worried. But she didn’t mean to be rude. I’ll walk you two out.”

‘She sounds gentle. She’s nothing like what Dahlia described.’

‘Moreover, ordinary people wouldn’t think of putting stones into someone’s mouth and slapping them.’

When they were in the elevator, one of the police officers suddenly said, “I remember now. Isn’t she the female lead in the first episode of Jurisdiction?”

The other policeman was frozen for a moment. He quickly checked on his phone and made the comparison. ‘It’s really her.’

“She’s an actress… Actresses are exceptionally good at acting, right?”

“You’re a police officer. How can you say that’d be unforgivable?”

This was the first time Arthur received flowers. He was very happy.

When Stella came back, he was carrying the flowers in his arms and continuously asking Trevor the names of each of the flowers.

Trevor was very patient. He told Arthur one by one.

Keegan was not in the ward. He might have gone to visit Aurora. Stella did not care about that.

“Trevor, are you Keegan’s friend?”

“I’m friends with Stella too. Stella saved my sister back then. I find Stella very congenial to me.

Arthur smiled. “Since you two are friends, you shouldn’t always talk about her saving your sister. I thought you looked friendly when I saw you. Stella must think the same too.’

True friends would not talk about owed favor. Arthur was exceptionally wise.

Keegan came after they chatted for a while.

Trevor stayed a little longer before he said he had something to do and had to leave. Arthur then asked Keegan to show him out.

After they exited the ward, Keegan said, “Did you switch the surveillance footage?”

Trevor was confused. “What surveillance footage?”

Keegan stared at Trevor’s face. He did not want to miss any of his micro-expressions.

But Trevor looked very calm. There was nothing amiss.

Keegan pressed his lips. He pondered before he said, “Nothing.”

After he left the hospital and got into his car, Trevor then asked Xavier, “Did you finish your job?”

“Mr. Kane went to check it right after I was done.”
