“Okay,” Raymond said as he walked into the office swaggering. Pulling up a chair, he suddenly kicked Julian’s chair leg. Julian could not hold his balance and hit his elbow on the table. His face turned pale with pain. He then got up, grabbed the other party’s collar, and said, “What’s the matter with you, huh?”

Raymond held his hands in surrender and said, “Ms. Ada, look. I didn’t even do anything. He was like this in the classroom last time, and now he’s trying to fight me right in front of you. I told you that orphans like him lacked human decency, but you didn’t believe me.”

Julian clenched his fist, his eyes red, and his lips angrily trembled as if he were about to strike Raymond again.

Stella frowned and said lowly, “Let go, Julian. Remember why you’re here today.”

Julian’s lips trembled once more. The veins on his neck bulged out, but he did not let go. Ms. Ada also tried to persuade him, but Julian was unfazed.

Keegan tapped on his teacup and said calmly, “The tea is cold. Go and add some hot water for me.” Julian gritted his teeth. He finally released his hand, took Keegan’s cup, and filled it with hot water. He then put it back in front of Keegan and sat down obediently in his original seat. Stella’s eyes twitched. ‘Why does he listen to Keegan better than me?’ she thought.

Raymond pursed his lips in disappointment when he saw Julian back down. Instead, he rubbed his nose, looked up at Stella and Keegan, and said, “Are you two new hires from the orphanage?”

As he spoke, he glanced at the brand-new clothes on Julian. “He even wears new clothes now. Has the orphanage found someone to donate recently?”

‘This kid is so rude!’ Ms. Ada frowned, “Raymond, please be respectful! These are Julian’s guardians, and they came here today to discuss the conflict between you two.”

“Ms. Ada, there is no conflict between us. Strictly speaking, it should be regarded as intentional injury. The police should deal with this.”

Ms. Ada was so angry that her head was almost on fire. Raymond’s family held some power, and Mr. Harrison repeatedly reminded her to handle the matter with caution. Ms. Ada knew what he meant. A good student like Julian was indeed rare, but losing him made no difference in their school enrollment rate.

But it was different with Raymond; his father approved a new soccer field, and they recently proposed a new library. The school relied on Raymond’s family; being cautious meant sacrificing Julian.

However, Ms. Ada did not want to do that. She had been Julian’s teacher for three years. She knew how challenging it was for him to get to where he was now. If he gets expelled from the school because of this matter, it would be a major loss for Julian. So Ms. Ada took the initiative to request the school’s understanding and deal with the problem reasonably. But Raymond’s attitude showed he did not want to settle things easily.

“I guess he’s right. It’ll be easier if we call the police. I also think it’ll be more appropriate to do so. Since Raymond was the one who suggested it, let’s call the police, Ms. Ada. Julian is going to enter the entertainment industry in the future. His beaten-up face will definitely

affect his career. I believe compensation must be due.”

Raymond frowned. At that moment, a shrill female voice came outside the door, “You want us to compensate you? Is the orphanage that desperate for money?”
