Chapter 100

After the evidence from the last car accident came out, Joshua checked it all again and found out that it was all valid.

Yoel still remembered Joshua’s complex reaction at the time, which looked like someone who was too proud to apologize after wrongly accusing someone.

“You’re doing it,” Joshua said.

Cynthia could help him find out in the shortest possible time, but he knew his own personality. If the results turned out to be the same as Old Man Neal’s assumption, his first reaction would be to accuse Cynthia of ruining Jayleen’s reputation. Hence, it was better to let Yoel do the investigation.

Yoel reluctantly agreed, “Okay, Mr. Neal.”

If Cynthia knew about Joshua’s train of thought, she would say he was overthinking it, as she would never help him with the investigation to begin with.

At this moment, Cynthia sat in Moses’s car and spoke up after they drove a distance. “Just drop me off on the side of the road. I’ll call a taxi later.”

“What are you going back for?” Moses drove the car and looked handsome and outgoing when he smiled. “I haven’t even introduced my friend to you yet.”

Cynthia raised an eyebrow. “Isn’t this just an excuse for you to leave?”

“It’s an excuse, but it’s also true,” Moses spoke. He had a likable personality.

“Joshua gave you 200,000,000 USD after the divorce. Don’t you want to make that money grow?”

“Are you trying to swindle me?” Cynthia asked.

Although they had not spent much time together, every interaction with Moses had been enjoyable. However, enjoying oneself was one thing, and understanding the person was another.

Although Cynthia was not afraid of being swindled, she still needed to ask.

“Do you think I’m Joshua? I can’t swindle you. You’re my sister–in–law. Not to mention my parents, but if Grandpa knew I swindled you, he’d give me a beating.”

Cynthia did not reply.

The car drove a distance before she spoke again, “I’m not going with you today. I have something to do at home.”

“Don’t you want to make Joshua jealous?” Moses asked.

“Why would I want to do that?”

“He’s using his lover to make you jealous, so why don’t you find some suitors to make him jealous? That would be fair,” Moses said as if it were obvious.

Cynthia replied, “How childish.”

She totally believed that this man was Joshua’s own brother as he was relentless in pulling Joshua’s legs.

Moses did not drop Cynthia off halfway. Instead, he took her directly to Jiverton’s racetrack. As he brought her in, a group of very good–looking people began to heckle him.

“Young Master Neal, it’s rare for you to bring a woman along.”

“I remember someone saying they weren’t interested in women?”

“Moses, don’t you want to introduce her?”

“This is my sister–in–law, Cynthia.” Moses introduced her openly, jokingly saying to them, “I heard you three had had some good projects lately. Give me two.”

The three of them were confused.

“Why do you want projects if you’re not interested in making money?”

“I want to give Cynthia some practice. As you know, Joshua is divorcing her, and Grandpa is worried that she can’t survive after the divorce. So, he wants me to help her invest in two profitable projects,” Moses said matter–of–factly, with a smirk on

his face.
