“Cynthia is here to pick up Mr. Yates. Could you help me take them back?” Joshua said gently, explaining the situation to Yoel.

Cynthia wanted to refuse, but neither Joshua nor Yoel gave her the opportunity, Yoel placed Kendrick in the backseat, and Cynthia got in as well. As the car started, she watched Joshua standing there, seeing them off. Cynthia’s rationality gradually returned.
