Chapter 366

Jonathan thought it was not up to Joshua to decide if it were fine!

After all, Cynthia disliked him!

“Dad, you should go up first. I’ll come up later,” Cynthia told Jonathan, knowing that if she did not talk things through with Joshua today, he would probably follow her to the room.

Jonathan was a bit concerned. “But…”

“I know what I’m doing,” Cynthia replied calmly.

Jonathan glanced at the two a few more times. Then, seeing that Joshua seemed relatively normal, he decided to listen to Cynthia and go upstairs, not delaying their discussion any further.

Cynthia walked out of the hotel’s entrance and headed to the nearby garden, getting straight to the point. “What exactly do you want?”

Joshua remained silent.

He, himself, did not even know what he was doing

He just could not help feeling empty inside when he realized that Cynthia would return to Nexuria just like that. Hence, he just wanted to spend a little more time with her, talk to her, and have more interaction.

“If there’s nothing, go back. Stop following me.” Cynthia had no intention of wasting more time with him.

Joshua, looking at her distant and indifferent attitude, suddenly felt a pang in his heart. “In your eyes, am I inferior to lan, whom you just met?”

Cynthia did not like exchanging numbers, but she agreed when Lan asked. She even said it was better to be with lan than with

him.

“Yes,” Cynthia replied simply with one word.

It was the first time Joshua experienced heartache. Hearing Cynthia calmly and distantly say that word felt like a knife piercing his chest.

“Just because of what happened before, you despise me so much.” Joshua still cared, hoping that Cynthia still had some feelings for him.

Cynthia corrected his wording, “It’s not despised, but it’s complete disdain.”

Listening to her words, Joshua understood everything. No matter what he did or how well he treated her, she would never like him again. Since the moment of their divorce, she had already given up on him.

Joshua could not help but think Cynthia was quite ruthless. After all, she would not allow anyone to make mistakes. Once you made a mistake, she would unhesitatingly blacklist you.

He had considered many ways to keep Cynthia by his side, but in the end, her attitude dissuaded him from those thoughts.

“I’m going upstairs. If you need to discuss anything regarding that person, message me,” Cynthia said, noticing that he was staring at her without saying anything

Joshua nodded.

Cynthia sensed that something was off with him, but she did not pay attention to it. After all, she had no connection with Joshua now, and his joys and sorrows had nothing to do with her.

Cynthia left quickly.

Joshua could only watch as she walled further and further away from him, entering the hotel and disappearing from his sight.

He stood there for a long time until a chilly breeze blew by, snapping him out of his daze. Checking the time, he realized that he had been standing there for a full hour.

Chyler, not far away, observed everything from his car. He did not go over to disturb Joshua; he simply wanted to see how long this person could stand there motionless.

When Joshua left, he glanced at the hotel before heading toward his car. Just as he took out the car keys to unlock it, a head poked out from the neighboring car. “I thought you were planning to stand there like a utility pole all night.”

Josina did not pay attention to him or ask why he was there.

He was not in the mood tonight.

“Is there a need to be so sad just because you failed to win her over?” Chyler, who was in a better mood now after learning that Ellora would come to find him in a while, and all the complicated emotions from before gradually faded away.

He joked with Joshua, “Do you want me to help you win her back?”

Joshua cast a cold glance at him

Full of disdain.

Clearly unimpressed.
