After the call, Michelle shared the news with Mandy. Both were surprised, and Mandy asked with a light tone, “Are you sure Cynthia agreed to this?”

“Yes. After she agreed, Uncle Jonathan and Shirley said they’d come too.”

Mandy did not say anything Michelle stood there obediently, being generally respectful toward her mother.

“From today, you must get along with Cynthia and Shirley. However, don’t be overly eager. As long as Cynthia doesn’t object, Mr. Yates and I can get married,” Mandy advised her solemnly.

“But… I’ve already offended Cynthia,” Michelle worried.

“Everyone makes mistakes, Just behave well from now on. Don’t go astray this time,” Mandy reasoned with her.

Michelle fiddled with her sleeve. “Clary.

Mandy looked at her and sighed deeply, contemplating further words, but in the end, she busied herself with preparing the lunch for five. It would indeed take some time,

On Cynthia’s side, they were still in the midst of breakfast, Bursting with curiosity, Shirley softly asked, “Sis, didn’t you not like them before? Why did you agree to go over there for a meal?”

Hearing this, Jonathan also turned to look at Cynthia. He was equally intrigued.

“Mandy is Dad’s current partner. It’s her birthday, and Dad should naturally be there,” Cynthia answered simply

Shirley’s eyes shimmered with unspoken thoughts, while Jonathan felt a pang of sadness. Cynthia was such a nice daughter.

“I won’t be staying there long I will leave shortly after the meal,” Cynthia added clearly,

Under normal circumstances, she would not po. However, this time, she decided to confront Mandy. The matter concerning her father could not be dragged on forever. If It continued, people would start speculating that Mandy might be her father’s mistress, which would be harmful to his repitation

“If you don’t want to go, then don’t. Don’t feel obliged,” Jonathan said cautiously after deliberating

“It’s not an obligation,” Cynthia replied, finishing her milk. She wanted to clarify things with Jonathan, “I primarily want to discuss your situation with her. It’s about time she decided on whether to stay or go.

Knowing Cynthia would not act rashly, Jonathan agreed, “Alright.”

In truth, he had a clear idea of what Cynthia wanted to discuss. It was better for her to voice certain things than for him to do

Observing the serious conversation between them, Shirley swallowed the words she was about to say. She decided to wait for a better opportunity to bring it up, as it seemed unlikely that Mr. Yates and Cynthia would agree now.

After they finished breakfast, Jonathan made a call to send the gift he had prepared in advance for Mandy Past ten o’clock, their driver transported them over to Mandy’s place.

Upon their arrival, Michelle greeted

them, “Mr. Yates, Cynthia, Shirley, you’re here! Please come in and sit down”

A slight frown crossed Cynthia’s face. She still did not like Michelle’s overly cheerful greetings.

“It’s alright. No need for the formalities, just call us by our names,” Shirley stepped in, her face wearing a harmless smile.

“Alngle, “Michelle agreed.

Cynthia raised an eyebrow at Shirley’s unexpected comment. Catching her sister’s eye, Shirley winked. Cynthia responded by ruffling her sister’s lair lightly.
