Chapter 96

“What if the killer was someone outside the group? Person B knew she didn’t do it, but she wouldn’t suspect Person A,” Cynthia countered, knowing exactly what Joshua was insinuating.

With just a few simple sentences, the two of them were locked in a standoff.

Cynthia spoke to him seriously, “I’m tired of all this. I don’t want to argue with you anymore because of Jayleen. Believe me or not, I didn’t do anything wrong.”

She was not the type to pick fights. However, being repeatedly forced into difficult situations, being doubted, and being questioned had worn her out.

Joshua wanted to believe her, especially when he saw the sincerity in her eyes. However, he could not bring himself to trust her every time he thought about how she had changed after he mentioned divorce. 2

He could not tell which of her words was true and which was false.

Jimmy was angry that Joshua had bullied her.

[Cynthia: I’m not posting it.]

[Little Jerry: ???]

Jimmy was confused. Why was she not going to post it?

His first thought was that Joshua must have threatened her, but then he remembered that the apology statement was something Joshua had asked Cynthia to post.

What was going on?

Being full of doubts, Jimmy called Cynthia and got straight to the point.

“Cynthia, why aren’t you posting it? Weren’t we going to expose Joshua and Jayleen’s dirty secrets?”
