Chapter 53: Have he thrown up at you?

Rong Yi was a little lost.

“It?was?a free ticket from the fan club.” He answered honestly.

Hearing these words, Mo Yufei paused for a moment, thought for a little while and asked: “He told you not to tell me?”

“Who?” Rong Yi asked.

“The man who gave you the ticket.” Mo Yufei said.

“It really was a free ticket from the fan club...” Rong Yi tried to explain, “It was posted to me together with those peripheral products.”

Mo Yufei lowered his head and smiled. He then stood up: “Wait for me, I’ll go wash my face.”

He went right into the bathroom next door.

The confused Rong Yi stood there without moving, and suddenly it dawned on him.

This was also a fan club complimentary ticket, just like Xiao Zhang’s. Even if there was supposed to be a slight difference in seating locations, the difference should not have been that big. The ticket he got even enabled him to get in early.

But he did find this ticket among the peripherals posted to him.

Did someone put it in there? After the peripherals bag was opened, except for him, only one person had touched it.

Rong Yi’s heart suddenly skipped a beat.

Just then, Mo Yufei came out of the bathroom. His banger still stuck on his head, his face was wet and his eyes narrowed to two lines. Rong Yi watched him walk straight to the make-up mirror and pull out a few sheets of tissue paper from the table to rub on his face.

“Well...” Rong Yi looked at him and plucked up courage to ask, “So that ticket was actually...”

With his eyes closed and his brow furrowed, Mo Yufei tried to wipe off the scraps of tissue paper stuck to his face: “Given to you by Chen Keyao?”

The name came from his lips without much emotion, but instantly shocked Rong Yi into silence.

“What’s wrong?” Mo Yufei opened his eyes and found Rong Yi’s reaction funny, “Why are you so nervous, am I looking so scary?”

“I...”

“You’re making me nervous too,” Mo Yufei said that, but looked still rather calm himself. “Are you hungry?”

“Ah?”

Mo Yufei quickly changed into a very subtle and understated coat, then came up to Rong Yi with a smile: “It’s my treat. Shall we go?”

...

Actually, it was almost past the normal dinner time. After being reminded, Rong Yi did feel a bit hungry.

Rong followed Mo Yufei to the back door, and then saw the familiar ‘indifferent sister’. Mo Yufei told him the route, and that they should rendezvous at a nearby corner in ten minutes. He then put on his hat and sunglasses and dashed out with the Indifferent sister.

It was not easy being a star. Rong Yi counted the time and walked to the specified corner. He waited for quite a while before a car pulled up in front of him finally. But when he got in, he only saw the driver and the Indifferent Sister.

Rong Yi sat in the back seat of the car with great apprehension, hesitating whether to ask questions. Just before he was going to speak, suddenly the Indifferent Sister in the passenger seat turned around to look at him.

“Please give me your phone.” She said.

Rong Yi didn’t understand it, but was a little terrified by her stare, so subconsciously he followed the instruction obediently.

The Indifferent Sister took the phone, pressed the phone to force it to shut down, and then put it in her backpack.

“What are you doing?” Rong Yi was shocked.

He thought she was just going to borrow it for a moment, but now it looked more like a school director confiscating a student’s personal possessions that were not allowed by the school regulations.

“I’ll give it back to you,” the Indifferent Sister was very calm. “Don’t mention your experience today to anyone, you know?”

Rong Yi blinked his eyes and was completely lost, but still nodded.

The traffic was a bit busy; the car was stuck in the road completely. Rong Yi didn’t have a mobile phone to kill time, and the other two in the car were very quiet, so he soon felt pretty bored.

Rong Yi found nothing better to do but look at the scenery outside the window.

However, all one could see was just traffic. Worst of all, the traffic on their side was completely blocked, while the other side of the road was totally fine, making people on this side even more anxious.

The air was a bit stuffy, so he opened the window and watched the cars that were flying across on the other side of the road from time to time. He suddenly whispered “Oh.”

Then he turned his head quickly. He was even a little bit tempted to lean out of the window.

The light inside that taxi suddenly lit up as it was passing by, and the man in the back seat who just flashed by in front of Rong Yi’s eyes looked rather familiar.

By the time Rong Yi did poke his head out, the taxi had left with a blur in the dark night, and it was now totally impossible to see anything inside that taxi.

“Close the window,” the Indifferent Sister suddenly ordered. “Don’t be seen by anyone.”

It was like working as a secret agent.

Rong Yi was unhappy, but did what he was told anyway.

He leaned back on the sofa and sighed. It must have been a mistake. It’s probably because I miss him so much that everyone would look like the one on my mind.

The man he mistook for at that moment should be thousands of miles away in the home they shared. Probably just finished the takeout and was sitting in front of the computer watching a movie leisurely.

Chen Keyao has no reason to come suddenly. Moreover, it is now the peak tourism season in C City, and it is difficult to buy air tickets without booking in advance.

It’s my fault that I miss him so much that I find everyone looks like him.

...

The car was blocked on a short straight road for half an hour, and after the turn it finally went smoothly and quickly reached its destination.

The restaurant seemed to be a member only venue. After a brief exchange of a few sentences with the waiter, the Indifferent Sister left without much fuss, leaving a frustrated Rong Yi still yearning for his phone.

But now that he was here, he had no choice but to follow the waiter to a VIP room.

As he pushed the door open, Mo Yufei was sitting inside, looking very much bored with his palm under his chin. As soon as he saw Rong Yi, he stood up, looking delighted.

“Come on in,” he said with a broad smile, taking Rong Yi’s coat over matter-of-factly and hanging it up on the?coat rack next to him. “Was the road you took particularly blocked? It was such a long wait and I was starving, so I’ve ordered a few dishes. Have a look and see if there’s anything else you want to eat.”

Rong Yi was very tense: “I, I’m OK with anything!”

“Then let’s not be too bothered with manners,” Mo Yufei pulled his chair for him, “Just sit.”

Rong Yi sat down with great care, with his back clinging to the chair tightly, and his hands placed properly on his lap.

Mo Yufei burst into laughter at this sight.

“Forget it, I won’t tell you to relax any more. The more I tell you to, the nervous you may become,” He shook his head hopelessly, “Let’s talk about something else.”

When Rong Yi heard the word “other”, he got even more nervous.

He thought on the way here that, since the ticket was actually left there by Chen Keyao, it must have been from Mo Yufei originally. Therefore, the reason why Mo Yufei picked that seat number today was actually not for him, but for Chen Keyao.

Now he was invited out for dinner, for the same reason.

Damn. Now I’ve become a love rival of my idol. What to do? It’s obviously a Hong Men Banquet where the host is intending to kill the guest.

“Has he kept telling you bad things about me all the time that has made you afraid of me so?” Mo Yufei said, “Don’t listen to him. My greatest virtue is my easy-going temperament.”

Rong Yi hesitated and shook his head: “He didn’t say anything bad about you.”

Although Chen Keyao often had strong negative sentiment, and his choice words was often annoying too, he did not even reveal the fact that he knew Mo Yufei, let alone saying anything specific about him.

Mo Yufei lowered his eyes and hesitated for a few seconds before looking at Rong Yi again: “What’s the relationship between you two?”

That was a very direct question, leaving Rong Yi somewhat nonplussed.

“I...” he hesitated, “I’ve been renting his apartment. He is my landlord.”

They had had a brief relationship, and he was still in love with him. But if it must be described, there was only such a shallow relationship between them.

“That’s all?” asked Mo Yufei.

Rong Yi nodded.

Then he suddenly regretted. Since it was a meeting of love rivals, wouldn’t it be better for him to bluff a bit?

“Impossible,” Mo Yufei said. “You are exactly the type he’ll like.”

“...”Rong Yi had never expected something that he had been too embarrassed to brag about for himself to now come out of the other party’s mouth.

Just as Rong Yi was panicking, someone tapped on the door of the VIP room. The dishes were coming.

Mo Yufei really was a man without airs. He picked up his chopsticks as soon as the waiter left.

“I’m starving,” he said, helping himself with some food to eat already. “I’m not going to go through unnecessary table manners with you, so just hurry up and start eating away.”

Rong Yi, watching him eat fast and heartily, found the whole scene a bit out of expectation.

How amazing. He was eating dinner with his God. He had such a good temper. He was just as good as the hype, with no burden of being an idol at all. He was so easy. And even without makeup, he was still so good-looking, clean and flawless skin, and so cute when the food filled inside his cheeks.

When it should be the happiest time, Rong Yi was somehow feeling extremely flustered.

“Please don’t look at me any more. Eat,” Mo Yufei also looked a bit painful, “I really feel a bit nervous to be stared like this.”

“I’m sorry.” Rong quickly lowered his head, picked up chopsticks, and stuffed something into his mouth randomly.

Mo Yufei watched him and chuckled softly.

“You’re renting Chen Keyao’s apartment, so are you two sharing?” He asked.

Rong Yi hesitated. Biting his chopsticks, he nodded honestly.

“Your relationship is definitely not just landlord and tenant.” Mo Yufei said.

Rong Yi blushed: “We...”

“Slept together?”

Rong Yi was choked, coughing uncontrollably for a while.

Mo Yufei quickly poured him a glass of water: “He still can’t do it?”

Rong Yi drank some water, and it was only after a while that he could breathe properly again: “What are you talking about?”

“Hasn’t he always been like that,” Mo Yufei said. “He likes Alphas, but he can’t stand it when he smells the Alpha pheromone. If he hadn’t laid his hands on you yet, it must have been that reason. I don’t believe he’d not get any ideas when you two are living together.”

Rong Yi realized there was a big misunderstanding: “...We really don’t have any relationship. I’m an Omega. He knows that.”

“Eh?” Mo Yufei was dumbfounded, then looked up and down at Rong Yi. His eyes were examining in a playful way. “Have he thrown up at you?”

Rong Yi suddenly felt a little uncomfortable.

He did not feel any aversion to Mo Yufei, but he did not like the feeling that Mo Yufei talked about Chen Keyao as if he knew everything about him, making him look like a total outsider.

“Am I right?” Having said that, Mo Yufei put down his chopsticks and looked at Rong Yi with his chin on his hand. “He must be looking at you every day and thinking: this man is adorable.”

Rong Yi’s face burned instantly.

“How could that be? The word “cute” and I just...”

“Fit each other perfectly well,” Mo Yufei said, his other hand reaching out across the table to lift up Rong Yi’s chin. “It’s a very pleasant face to look at.”

The author’s notes:

Mo Yufei: I’m working several jobs at the same time. Even if I haven’t made any achievement, you should award my hard work.

Chen Keyao: Hard work my arse! Will you please stop your hard work!
