“Of course. Clean yourself up. Come out with me.”

Melissa passed a few napkins to Shayna and Shayna did as Melissa told her. A while later, Melissa led Shayna out of the room.

“Mrs. Heyton, I’ve learned about what happened. I’ll apologize to you on behalf of Shayna.”

Melissa lowered her head and smiled. Her silhouette was accentuated in the golden light.

“Oh my, that’s not necessary.“ Esther hurriedly asked Melissa to get up. “You are her supervisor. We must thank you.”
