Chapter 128: Ch.127 Worm Inside The Stomach

After the X-Metal grenades distracted Barbatos, he was finally pulled down from the tower by the powerful magic of the Silver Sorceress.

As he fell to the ground, still floating in mid-air, Su Ming, with Barry's help, had already reached his landing point.

"This scene feels oddly familiar... Haven't I slashed something that fell from the sky before?" Su Ming held up his greatsword, striking a pose as he idly chatted with Barry while under the influence of the Speed Force.

Barbatos seemed to be moving in slow motion, descending with the speed of a snail despite being yanked down by the silver hands.

Looking behind him at the approaching heroes, Su Ming saw their exaggerated facial expressions, each contorted in slow-motion grimaces, with sweat frozen in mid-air, and even their breath hanging lazily.

Barry tilted his head in confusion. "Really? I don't recall."

"Maybe I'm mistaken. Doesn't matter," Su Ming replied lightly, as the Order Magic continued pulling Barbatos towards his sword.

"Okay, get ready. I'm leaving now; you'll be out of the Speed Force soon," Barry said, letting go of Su Ming's shoulder and waving as he retreated to a safer distance, hundreds of meters away.

After experiencing the blood and brain matter shower earlier, Barry decided to keep his distance this time.

Barbatos, with his massive size, would likely spray blood for several meters upon impact, so it was best for Barry to get out of the way.

"Go ahead, but don't go too far. I might need you and the Speed Force again soon."

Su Ming tensed his muscles and steadied his stance, watching the sky intently.

Then, with a *thud*, Barbatos slammed into him, impaling himself onto Su Ming's sword like a nail driven into wood.

Indeed, even lying flat, Barbatos' body was about seven or eight meters thick, and Su Ming completely disappeared into his chest cavity.

"Well, I took some impact, but it's not too bad. This guy is full of dark energy, though. Impressive."

Black, viscous liquid oozed around him, with a pungent, nauseating stench, like falling into a swamp.

Su Ming moved his arms slightly. In the past, such a fall would have broken his bones, but with his newly enhanced skeleton, he felt only a bit of vibration, no actual harm.

Everything around him was pitch black. Su Ming felt like he was submerged in icy seawater, the bone-chilling cold and the strange stench making him feel as if he were suffocating.

Even his night vision goggles couldn't penetrate the darkness, as it wasn't a lack of light but pure energy that enveloped him.

His armor hissed as the dark energy corroded the Promethium metal, prompting Su Ming to act quickly.

Uncertain of his surroundings but knowing he was inside Barbatos, Su Ming began swinging his greatsword wildly in all directions.

His strikes connected with something solid.

Barbatos writhed on the ground, as if trying to tear open his chest to find whatever was inside, but several Supermen flew over, pinning his arms down to prevent him from doing anything.

Although they didn't know Barbatos' exact intentions, they couldn't let him succeed.

Barbatos let out a piercing scream, so loud that even the Supermen turned pale from the noise. Martian Manhunter, who had just deactivated his invisibility, took one look at Barbatos and immediately flew toward the Cosmic Tuning Fork to find a way to reverse the dark energy.

"Ah! How dare you touch my liver!"

Barbatos felt a sharp pain in his abdomen as one of his organs was sliced open.

"Stay away from my heart!"

He felt another intense pain in his chest, indicating a serious injury.

Listening to Barbatos' screams, Su Ming felt relieved. He had been slashing blindly, but Barbatos' shouts conveniently informed him of what organs he was cutting.

He would swing his sword a few times, then pause to listen. Barbatos would immediately scream out, revealing which organ Su Ming had just damaged. It was almost too easy.

In just a few seconds, Su Ming felt like Sun Wukong causing havoc in a monster's belly, with organ remnants piling up around his knees.

The key organs were completely shredded, leaving Barbatos barely clinging to life.

Unfortunately, Barbatos couldn't be killed. He was the embodiment of the Dark Multiverse's negative will, and as long as even a sliver of negative emotion existed in the DC Universe, he couldn't die.

No matter how powerful Su Ming was, he couldn't control the thoughts of every individual across the multiverse.

The organs inside Barbatos didn't serve any physiological purpose. They were merely storage or amplification centers for dark energy, coincidentally shaped like familiar organs.

Having caused enough damage, Su Ming chose a direction and furiously hacked his way forward, soon carving a large opening in Barbatos' side and stepping out.

Barbatos' blood was black, and Su Ming emerged looking like he'd crawled out of a pit of black mud.

Fortunately, there were plenty of Supermen around, and one unfamiliar-looking Superman blew lightly on Su Ming, instantly clearing away all the grime.

With such a cleaning ability, why had no laundry detergent or washing machine companies ever approached Superman for endorsements? Clark's salary as a reporter was so meager, earning some extra cash as Superman wouldn't be unreasonable.

Su Ming now felt much cleaner, though a bit cold.

Barbatos was still alive, albeit barely. What happened next was up to others. Whether they used magic to seal him or high-tech to imprison him, Su Ming was done with this unkillable creature.

The Joker Dragons in the sky, deprived of dark energy, were quickly dispatched by the heroes, while the villains from various worlds on the ground, having lost their leader, scattered in all directions.

The heroes split up to capture them, with each world's heroes apprehending their respective villains, likely planning to take them back for imprisonment.

Although the Sky Tyrant had crashed, with so many heroes present, it wouldn't take long to repair it.

Not far away, Cyborg and Martian Manhunter were studying the Tuning Fork. Su Ming had no interest in such high-tech stuff, so he decided to find Diana and the Batman Who Laughs.

The Batman Who Laughs was slippery. In the comics, even after Barbatos was defeated, he tried to cause the brains of the Monitor and Anti-Monitor, who were close friends, to collide, hoping to destroy the multiverse.

Their brains contained both positive and negative matter, immense energy, and all the information of the DC Universe. If they collided, everything would be annihilated.

If there was one person Barbatos never managed to deceive, it was undoubtedly the Batman Who Laughs. While he appeared to work diligently for Barbatos, in reality, he was pursuing his own plan—destroying all worlds.

Ruling the multiverse? That was too boring. He preferred to set off a grand firework display.

Infected by the Joker virus, he was more Joker than Batman—a Joker with all of Batman's skills.

Su Ming had originally tasked Diana with dealing with him, but it seemed something had gone wrong. The Batman Who Laughs had likely exploited Diana's weaknesses and taken control of her.

Now, Su Ming was searching the crowd for Barry, hoping he hadn't run off somewhere.
