Chapter 247: Ch.246 Entanglement

Monarch's original plan wasn't wrong. He thought that since the opponent's defense was invisible, using an invisible magic attack for a sneak attack should work. However, Monarch didn't fully understand Mister Sinister's abilities.

Sinister had already read Monarch's mind through his telepathy, so how could the sneak attack possibly work? As soon as the invisible web of tentacles descended upon him, Sinister instantly used his telekinesis, smoothly sliding away like a ghost, completely evading the attack.

He still wore that eerie smile on his face, as if saying he had seen everything coming.

But all of this was within Su Ming's expectations. He knew Sinister had telepathic abilities, so how could he not prepare for it?

This was just the first step of his plan. The direction Sinister retreated was exactly as Su Ming had anticipated. By attacking from this angle, Su Ming had successfully forced Sinister away from the burning laboratory and into the darker part of the factory.

Su Ming had discovered Mister Sinister's weakness — despite being a mutant, he was still human.

The factory was now pitch black, and everyone had different ways of perceiving their surroundings.

Su Ming relied on the night vision built into his helmet; Deadpool used his wall-crawling skills; Doctor Halloway used a flashlight; Monarch and the Cloak of Levitation relied on magical senses, while Su Ming's symbiote relied on its sense of smell.

But what was Sinister relying on? He was relying on his telepathy.

In his telepathic vision, the doctor's mind appeared like any ordinary human's. If Sinister got close enough, he could control the doctor like a puppet. The sorcerer had a more resolute mind, but his thoughts were connected to many horrifying entities, making his mind a chaotic mess.

As for Su Ming's mental image, it appeared as a solid silver brain, impossible to read or comprehend.

Then there was the red-and-black clown, Deadpool, whose mind appeared as a pile of smelly dog poop, with an inexplicable sense of danger. Something told Sinister that if he tried to read Deadpool's mind, he would die instantly.

Using these different mental images, Sinister determined each person's position.

So, as long as Sinister couldn't approach the burning lab and had no light to rely on, he would continue using his telepathic abilities to fight.

This was the opening Su Ming had found.

"Wade? Are you dead? If not, make a noise!"

Su Ming moved carefully, using his symbiote to steady himself with each step, while wielding his giant sword to keep pushing Sinister back.

"Squeak!" Deadpool pushed the pile of bricks off himself and started popping his bones back into place. "Why a mouse noise when I'm alive? Personally, I think a cat's meow is better."

"Cut the nonsense and get over here, run!" Su Ming swung his sword again, only for Sinister to block it.

Every attack felt restricted—his movements limited. His muscles and joints were constantly hindered, preventing him from landing a proper blow on Sinister.

Sinister, however, wasn't just taking hits. He occasionally fired energy beams from his forehead, sometimes targeting Su Ming, but mostly aiming at Doctor Halloway, who was forced to jump and duck, barely avoiding the blasts.

"Here I come! What do you need? It's hard to slice him up, this invisible force won't let me get close," Deadpool grumbled as he snapped his bones into place and sprinted toward Su Ming.

Su Ming used his symbiote to tether Deadpool to him and began writing something on Deadpool's back using the symbiote's tendrils.

"Hehe, that tickles. You're a real freak, cousin. Is this your way of playing tickle torture? Have you seen Fifty Shades of Grey? This is a form of S&M," Deadpool squirmed, being swung around by the symbiote, jokingly protesting to Su Ming.

Su Ming shot him a deadly glare. This was no time for jokes. He had a plan to deal with Sinister, but it could only be used once.

If this plan failed, there wouldn't be a second chance.

Although Deadpool was being his usual goofy self, Su Ming had no other options for now. Since neither of them could have their minds read by Sinister, any strategy had to be carried out by Su Ming and Deadpool alone.

The key to the strategy lay in using Deadpool's abilities.

Deadpool's powers were, first and foremost, being obnoxiously annoying, and secondly, his near-immortal healing factor.

Whether or not Deadpool understood the plan didn't matter. Su Ming immediately went into action.

He discreetly pulled out his owl-shaped dagger and forcefully decapitated Deadpool.

Then, using the immense strength of his symbiote, he hurled Deadpool's body at Mister Sinister in the darkness.

Yes, this was Su Ming's plan. When Deadpool's head was severed, although he could only control his head, his body would still follow the last command it had received, which Su Ming had pre-programmed: a grappling move.

Sinister's telepathy allowed him to sense the minds and thoughts of others, but it couldn't detect a headless corpse. Su Ming had exploited this flaw in Sinister's abilities.

Deadpool's headless body, flung like a cannonball by the symbiote's strength, flew toward Sinister. With the short distance between them and the element of surprise, Deadpool's body tackled Sinister perfectly, catching him off guard.

A gush of blood sprayed from the neck wound, covering Sinister's face.

This was Su Ming's moment. If Deadpool didn't hold Sinister long enough, he would be thrown off, so Su Ming had to strike while Sinister was dazed.

Su Ming dropped Deadpool's head, handed his giant sword to the symbiote that extended from his chest armor. The black, liquid-like symbiote pulsed and flowed, sending the sword through its tendrils, aiming it directly at Sinister and Deadpool, impaling them both.

Then, using the symbiote, Su Ming launched himself into the fray, joining the pile-up with Sinister and Deadpool.

"Yeah! That's it! Gouge his eyes out! Kick his junk!" Deadpool's head, now lying on the floor, continued to cheer Su Ming on. But such injuries were pointless against someone with healing powers.

Instead, Su Ming chose to knee Sinister in the groin, squeezing his throat hard when his tongue flopped out.

Sinister struggled desperately, his telekinesis sending the three of them crashing around the roof, dislodging bricks and making the entire underground space tremble and shake.

Whenever Sinister fired a beam from his forehead, Su Ming would dodge. Whenever Sinister paused to catch his breath, Su Ming would headbutt him in retaliation.

All while Deadpool's headless body flailed about, its stench permeating the air.

It had become a battle of wills. Both Su Ming and Sinister had healing factors, and the symbiote, along with the Cloak of Levitation, kept them tightly bound together. There was no escape—this fight was going to be drawn out.

They fought from the ceiling to the ground, and from one side of the room to the other. In close combat, Su Ming's sheer strength gave him the upper hand.

Sinister's punches and kicks were blocked by Su Ming's armor, and while Su Ming endured Sinister's telekinesis with his X-metal bones, Su Ming's dagger was continually bleeding Sinister, alongside a constant barrage of low blows.

Mister Sinister, not being a warrior, had a far lower tolerance for pain compared to Su Ming. Even if the fight dragged on for days, Su Ming was determined to win.

"Place your bets! Slade wins, odds 1 to 0.02! Sinister wins, odds 1 to 30!" Deadpool's head had decided to open up a betting pool. His little eyes gleamed as he watched his own body flying around, covered in metal shards and debris. Chunks of flesh fell off here and there, prompting a bit of regret.

"Can I still put all this back together?"

Of course, neither of the two combatants paid any attention to Deadpool's thoughts. This was bound to be a long, drawn-out battle.
