Chapter 251: Ch.250 Coming Back Again?
Little cousin is hiding something. How should I make him confess?
But Su Ming quickly gave up on that thought.
If Gin isn't saying anything, and Wade and Inez aren't either, it probably isn't something bad. So, let's leave it as a surprise.
Knowing what the Christmas gift is ahead of time just ruins the fun, right?
Outlaw, also known as Inez, is one of Deadpool's close female friends—or more accurately, his friends with benefits. Wade even bought her a huge house, spending hundreds of thousands on it. Their relationship isn't complicated at all.
She's a mutant, a super-strong powerhouse. She can punch Rhino out of the park and has even beaten up Spider-Man. Even though she carries two revolvers, they're mostly for show—she prefers to rely on her fists.
Her strength is massive, her speed impressive, and she frequently fractures Wade's pelvis—breaking it faster than his healing factor can recover.
Every time, Wade suffers in bliss.
As for Mandy, she used to be Deadpool's agent, handling bank transactions and collecting debts. Later, she hung out with the tech nerds like the Fantastic Four and discovered her talent for scientific research, eventually providing tech support for Agency X.
And 'Weasel'? He's the same Weasel from the Deadpool movie—the scruffy bar owner with glasses and long hair. Other than giving Wade mission leads, he's pretty much useless.
After greeting everyone, Inez returned to Deadpool's lap, playfully pulling at his bandages while blowing in his ear, giving him a clear signal with her big eyes.
Damn, who can eat with this going on? I've had my fill of this lovebird nonsense.
"You guys traveled through time, which comes with risks. Why don't you just tell me what's going on? We still have missions to complete."
Su Ming dropped the fried fish strip he was holding and rubbed his temples.
Mandy walked over to stand beside Weasel, moving away from the PDA-filled couple: "We're here to take Wade back. The Infinity War is happening, and we need him for a lot of things in the future."
"No way. Wade accepted my mission and took my deposit. Until he completes the mission, he's not going anywhere." Su Ming lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair, dismissing Mandy's statement.
Wade wasn't leaving. In fact, none of them were leaving. Not until Namor was reassembled. Besides, they'd return to the exact moment they left when they time-traveled back.
Mandy gave Deadpool a look, and Wade, while dealing with Inez's strength, nodded repeatedly. That's how it was. Other than the lack of color TV and internet, he was quite enjoying this era. He wasn't ready to leave yet.
Mandy pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed: "Fine. We'll fulfill the contract. We'll leave once it's done."
"Now that you're all here and the team is complete, you can act independently. Wade knows my objective." Su Ming tossed them a hand-drawn map, marking all possible locations of Namor's fragments. The one in London had already been crossed out: "Let him lead you. My only demand is that you collect at least ten fragments and return them to the London Sanctum within two months."
Mandy took the map and gave it a once-over: "We'll need an advance for travel and weapons."
"No problem. Gin will handle the money."
A few minutes later, a box of U.S. dollars was on the table, and Mandy no longer had any objections.
"Heh heh... guess I'm off!" Wade grabbed a handful of cash from the box, scooped up Inez, and dashed out the door. As for what they were going to do, Su Ming didn't need to guess.
"Yeehaw!" Inez cheered with a classic cowgirl shout. She didn't care who was watching; she was going to ride this red and black unicorn.
Watching them leave, Su Ming sighed. In a few months, he expected a pile of Namor fragments before him. He didn't want to know what happened in between.
With Deadpool on a mission with a woman, there'd be even more dirty jokes. Su Ming had had enough already.
Before Deadpool joined the team, he could at least count on Wade to do some work. But after those seven days underground, it wasn't just Mister Sinister who had been tormented—Su Ming had suffered, too.
The sword was sharp, but it was a double-edged blade, hurting others as much as oneself.
"Finally, some peace and quiet..."
Holoway stroked his small mustache, feeling reborn, like the air had become fresher. Su Ming and Monak nodded in agreement.
"Alright, Wade may be talkative, ugly, and a pain in the ass, but most of the time, he gets the job done. With the agents from Agency X handling part of the mission, we've lightened our load a bit."
"Agency X sounds like a group that studies mutants."
Holoway munched on a sandwich, sounding puzzled. While he could accept the appearance of people from the future, it seemed like things weren't much better for mutants in that future.
Su Ming knew of Agency X. It was a semi-governmental organization in the U.S., handling the dirty work for the higher-ups. Sometimes, they collaborated with S.H.I.E.L.D., but their missions often involved assassination and theft.
He didn't care about their background—so long as they were powerful and on his side for now.
"Don't dwell on it. Whatever happens in the future is beyond our control. Let's focus on the present." The mage agreed with Su Ming's mindset. The world was changing too quickly. In a few years, even ordinary people might have the power to threaten sorcerers.
Even with the Eye of Agamotto, the Ancient One wouldn't claim to know the full future. Monak had learned through experience that living in the moment was what mattered most.
Su Ming raised his glass: "Alright, cheers."
But before Holoway and Monak could raise their glasses, several figures suddenly appeared at the dining table. Everyone immediately tensed up, weapons drawn and pointed at each other.
"Stand down! They're allies." Su Ming pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "Greetings, Cable, Domino, and the rest."
Cable, after assessing his surroundings, lowered his massive grenade launcher-like gun: "Slade, is that you? I thought you were Wade's cousin, but maybe you're his grandfather? Is this 1942?"
Su Ming definitely didn't want a grandson like Wade. That would shave years off his life.
"It's 1942 London, alright. And yes, I'm his cousin. It's a long story. Now, what brings you here?"
Cable placed his big gun on the table and dragged out the chair Wade had just vacated, sitting down with a heavy thud. The chair groaned under his weight.
"That idiot Wade said he was off to settle a score with Thanos, but I found out his busted teleportation belt malfunctioned. I finally tracked his timeline, and Domino insisted on coming to find him."
Su Ming shifted his gaze to Domino. This Domino wasn't like the one from the movie. She had pale skin, a strikingly beautiful face, and short black hair that curled slightly at the ends, giving her a cute appearance.
The most eye-catching feature was her exaggerated chest, making it hard not to notice.
"Well, you've got great timing. Wade just left. You should find him if you head out. In fact, with Domino's luck, you're guaranteed to."
Su Ming and Cable clinked their glasses as Su Ming revealed Wade's whereabouts.
Domino blushed slightly, smiling happily. After a quick greeting, she rushed out the door: "Alright, let's go. I need to see what that idiot's up to now."
Su Ming's lips twitched. Domino and Wade had a... complicated relationship. But if she caught Wade fooling around with Outlaw, there'd be a catfight.
With Domino's luck, finding Wade was inevitable. Su Ming just hoped Wade was a quick man and had already finished his business.
