Chapter 260: Ch.259 Good Thing Turns Bad

Halloway found himself in a tight spot. After Su Ming had successfully drawn the enemy's attention, the Cloak of Levitation quickly dropped the doctor into the center of their own formation—and then promptly ditched him to go find Su Ming.

For someone like Halloway, a staunch materialist, his opinion of the Cloak plummeted to -100.

As he observed the three women in the center of the formation, locked in a fierce brawl, Halloway was at a loss for ideas. If it were an ordinary catfight, he might have been able to step in and break it up, as he was proficient in hand-to-hand combat.

But these three women weren't ordinary—each was packing powers that made the ground shake and bullets fly, making it impossible to get close.

Although Su Ming had provided him with chainmail armor, Halloway wasn't too keen on testing its defensive capabilities in this situation.

"What should I do?"

Halloway laid down on the ground, pondering his options.

Just as he was strategizing, he noticed the ground shifting slightly. It was Deadpool, who had been flattened into a human pancake, gradually regenerating his muscles thanks to his healing factor. He was wriggling across the ground like a worm.

"Wade, what happened to you?"

Halloway yanked Deadpool over as if pulling a smelly, red-black carpet.

Deadpool's mask displayed a look of exaggerated innocence, with bloody tears dripping from his eye sockets, making him appear pitiful.

Everything had spiraled out of control.

After parting ways with Su Ming back at the restaurant, Wade had grabbed a fistful of cash and set out to book a luxury hotel room for some "quality time" with Inez. But after checking into the room, he figured that since he was in 1942, he might as well make the most of it. So he called room service, thinking about ordering a couples' massage or a candlelight dinner.

However, when Wade opened the door for the room service, to his surprise, it was Domino standing there, making things immediately awkward.

Before he could trick Domino into going to the room next door, Inez—fresh from the shower—ran smack into Domino, and the tension in the room became palpable.

Wade made a snap decision: why not just go with the flow? Sure, his pelvis might get shattered, and he'd have a streak of bad luck for a while, but Deadpool could handle it!

Domino and Inez didn't mind too much. After all, both women were adults who didn't care much about conventional moral boundaries, so they agreed to a three-person arrangement.

Inez and Wade had already divorced, and their occasional encounters were just for fun. Domino, on the other hand, rolled with the situation based on her mood, sometimes considering a romp with Wade as just another form of leisure.

So, Domino stripped down and went for a shower, leaving Cable and the others to wait downstairs in the hotel lobby. "I'll deal with them after we're done," she thought.

Meanwhile, Inez decided she wanted to chat with Domino, so she joined her in the shower for a second round of cleaning.

Wade, however, was left standing outside the bathroom, waiting for room service, though it was clear that the couples' massage would no longer include him.

But just as Wade was opening the door again, he found Vanessa standing there with a knowing, sinister smile. Behind her, several X-Men young women pointed at him, gagging at the sight of his towel-clad, exposed skin.

Vanessa had already spotted Weasel and Cable in the hotel lobby. She recognized both squads and knew they recognized her too.

Noticing how the group seemed unwilling to make eye contact, Vanessa quickly pieced things together. Wade's infamous inability to keep his "legs" to himself had undoubtedly landed him in hot water again.

Initially, Vanessa planned to confront Wade herself and drag him away from the "other two harpies," but Rogue immediately volunteered to dish out some payback.

"He's probably already had his pelvis crushed by Inez," Rogue had said. "Vanessa, stay strong. When we go upstairs, knock on the door. If he doesn't open, Magik will break it down with her sword. Once I'm inside, I'll grab him bare-handed and steal his healing factor for a while, let him suffer a bit."

Fortunately, when they arrived upstairs, things hadn't escalated that far yet. Vanessa breathed a sigh of relief, thankful she hadn't embarrassed herself in front of her friends.

However, just then, both women emerged from the bathroom, dripping wet and practically glowing, their radiant skin glistening like freshly bloomed flowers.

Wade found himself caught in the middle of a group of women, and the room fell silent. He thought about diving under the carpet and hiding.

Domino's luck aura hung over Deadpool, concentrating all of the team's bad luck directly on him. Nothing was going his way.

Luckily, Cable reacted quickly, leading the rest of the team upstairs to break up the brewing fight between the three women. Otherwise, the hotel would've been reduced to rubble.

In a desperate attempt to change the subject, Wade pulled out Su Ming's map, using the mission as an excuse to divert their attention.

He picked Paris as the closest destination, and naturally, all three women insisted on coming along. Cable and Weasel had no choice but to tag along as well, resigned to Wade's mess.

Once they arrived in Paris, the tension eased a little. The danger of being behind enemy lines gave the women a reason to maintain a temporary truce.

The situation took a turn for the worse, however, thanks to an overly enthusiastic painter. You'd think that after the Germans occupied Paris, he'd have some self-respect and stop painting portraits for the invaders.

"Good sir, would you and your lady like a portrait together? The fountain here is quite a famous landmark."

A flamboyantly dressed artist had been peddling his services on the street. Spotting the large group, he honed in on Deadpool, who was covering his face.

Suddenly, Wade's left arm popped out of its socket as Inez yanked on him, trying to drag him over to take a portrait together.

Then, in the blink of an eye, Inez lost her grip, and Wade found himself falling into Domino's arms. She arched an eyebrow at him knowingly—luck was at work again.

Next thing Wade knew, his waist was twisted 180 degrees, and Vanessa was still smiling sweetly at him from behind.

"A portrait with the lady of the house? Not a bad idea—this is a famous spot, after all."

The three women quickly picked up on each other's subtle moves, and soon verbal barbs started flying. One insulted the other's age, while another mocked her for being shameless.

And that led to the brawl Su Ming was now witnessing. Wade's attempts at smooth-talking had failed miserably, and he was instantly flattened into a pancake by Inez.

Vanessa, torn between anger and concern, lashed out at Inez, while Domino, already frustrated, joined the fray as well.

The painter, seeing the impending chaos, had long since fled.

Weasel and Cable couldn't exactly get involved either. As Wade's closest friends, they'd known this day would come, just not at such an inconvenient time.

They had no choice but to join forces with the X-Men to form a defensive perimeter, preparing for the inevitable German assault.

Wade's entire skeleton had been pulverized, leaving him speechless, but Halloway could see the entire ordeal written in his eyes and sighed deeply.

"It seems the only solution is to let you die."

Halloway wondered what Su Ming would do in a situation like this. He tried to think like Su Ming, and surprisingly, a plan began to form.
