Chapter 313: Ch.312 Justice League

Behind Su Ming, the Source Sea remained a chaotic expanse, impossible for anyone to discern what lay within.

But what unfolded before him made the smile on Su Ming's face gradually fade.

The Source Wall was not only unrepaired by the Green Lanterns but its breach had widened further. Even when he looked through the gap, he couldn't make out the fleshy statues fixed to the other side of the wall.

The cosmic void was empty of Green Lanterns, their whereabouts unknown, and everything felt dead—an unsettling silence pervaded the universe.

"What's going on here?"

Su Ming floated quietly in space, at the edge of the Bleed, where he could view all parallel worlds. His first thought was that Barbatos had escaped, so he immediately checked the Dark Multiverse.

But in reality, that realm was unexpectedly calm, even seeming more at ease than the Bright Multiverse.

Surrounded by darkness, Su Ming felt only the cold. The silence of the cosmos rendered him speechless.

Before crossing over, the last DC comic he had read was Injustice. After that, he had no idea what had happened to the world.

Now, the universe was clearly facing a crisis. The various Bright Multiverse worlds appeared dimmed, as if something catastrophic was imminent.

After calculating his options, Su Ming abandoned his plan to visit Cindy on Earth -11. He decided to head to Earth 0 first, to see what the Justice League was up to.

For many, this turn of events seemed to come without warning.

It had broken free, gained life, and was heading for its target—Earth.

It existed in every timeline, in every world. Countless people had witnessed its existence but had no means to confront it.

In its wake, time and space fractured like dust scattering by the roadside.

It was a beam of light, a blazing flame, a comet drifting through the dark cosmos for billions of years.

It came from beyond the Source Wall, from the primordial chaos that birthed everything, carrying with it apocalypse and revelation as it flew toward its destination.

...

Washington D.C., Justice League Hall.

The majestic dome-shaped building gleamed in the morning light, its white walls and bright windows embodying the ideals that every hero cherished.

It radiated a warm yet brilliant glow, like a giant lighthouse visible even from outer space.

People believed it was made of marble and infused with the powers of some "superhero," but in reality, the materials came from a white calcite mineral that Clark had transported from the Butterfly Nebula, 170,000 light-years away.

It was a dying star system without any life, but this white calcite could absorb and store light.

As a result, as people observed, it kept the Hall of Justice shining like daylight even during moonless nights.

After the victory over Barbatos, Bruce had been planning such a place—a monument to commemorate the global unity and the joint efforts to wield X-metal and save the world.

The previous Justice League headquarters had been one of Wayne's old manors, but it was no longer sufficient for their needs.

Batman negotiated with the United Nations and the U.S. government and finally found a suitable location in Washington, leveraging the power of money.

In just a few days, the new Hall of Justice was constructed.

This place served not only as the new base for the Justice League but also as a public museum with exhibition spaces open to all visitors. It was free of charge, allowing anyone to come and learn about the masked heroes.

They could discover the ideals the heroes fought for and the values they upheld.

Upon entering the wide glass doors, visitors were greeted by rows of hero uniforms—not only those of the Justice League members but of all heroes who held justice in their hearts.

These replica uniforms were displayed on mannequins, arranged on tiered platforms, facing every visitor who entered the Hall.

Beyond the hero exhibits, spacious galleries held glass cases of varying sizes, showcasing the trophies and relics the Justice League had collected over the years.

Items ranged from weapons taken from certain demons to a pair of scissors that could sever time itself, once owned by a mischievous entity.

Of course, these items had been stripped of their powers by the heroes and deemed safe before being displayed here.

Then again, it was also possible that these were replicas, with the real artifacts hidden elsewhere—known only to Batman.

Even so, during the Hall's completion and inspection, a member of the U.N. Security Council had summoned Batman, asking him to explain how he intended to secure these exhibits, with a strict instruction not to answer, "Because I'm Batman."

Batman's response was, "If anyone doubts it... let them try it themselves."

Barry could confirm that, while Batman answered, even if it was just for a brief moment, he witnessed what could only be described as a phenomenon—theoretical—Batman's smile.

In the end, the public areas of the Hall received approval, but they were only a fraction of the massive structure.

In the more secretive sections, no one could say for sure what secrets remained hidden.

There was a concealed door leading to the heroes' command center and living quarters. But to even see this hidden door, one needed telepathic permission from Martian Manhunter.

Most people remained oblivious to these details. Many children, and even some adults, treated it like a treasure hunt, tirelessly searching the Hall for the fabled door to the mysterious world.

The most popular rumor was that this hidden door lay behind the large fountain designed in the style of Krypton.

In reality, that rumor was a smokescreen planted by Batman.

The true hidden door was beneath the fountain. To reach it, one had to pass two more doors crafted by Cyborg and Hephaestus—one of advanced technology, the other of divine power.

Batman never trusted anyone, not even the visitors of the Hall of Justice.

However, at this moment, the Justice League was not here.

Not long after the Hall of Justice's completion, the Omega Four invaded.

The heroes were forced into an unexpected space adventure, during which Brainiac's homeworld was reduced to cosmic dust.

For a time, the situation looked grim. But in the end, the Justice League prevailed, tricking the four beasts into fighting each other before they could devour Earth.

The corpses of their comrades sated the monsters, and they retreated—at least for now.

The heroes were granted a brief moment of peace.

But last night, the Justice League's Watchtower detected a peculiar disturbance. Batman determined that Earth was facing another crisis—one even more severe than Barbatos's invasion.

And so, the heroes once again split up, prepared to face this new threat.
