Chapter 346: Ch.345 Charge Towards Umbrax

The two of them rushed towards each other at incredible speed, like two differently colored meteors in the universe. When they clashed, sparks flew, and then they rebounded in different directions due to the force.

Collisions, blows, their movements were so fast that they were almost impossible to follow.

And the massive black and purple sun was their backdrop, burning fiercely not far away, making everything seem mysterious and profound.

The greatsword in Su Ming's hand emitted a faint silver glow, but Sinestro's constructs were like putty, deflecting the sword's attacks every time.

And they could appear from any direction, at any angle, creating quite a hassle for Su Ming.

Su Ming was learning the Lanterns' combat techniques, observing their patterns, and gathering intelligence.

There was some good news so far: the Invisible Spectrum didn't have an emotional entity, which meant that the highest level of power Umbrax could control was Sinestro himself.

But therein lay the problem—so long as Sinestro was guarding Umbrax, he was like a monster with unlimited energy, and his flight speed was much faster than Su Ming's.

Did Su Ming have a plan? Yes, but it was extremely dangerous, and he wasn't sure what the outcome would be.

The plan was to keep fighting while moving forward, allowing Umbrax's gravity to capture him, pulling him into its core.

While Umbrax had no heat or light, its interior was entirely unknown.

Su Ming's plan for dealing with it might work, but he wasn't entirely sure—it just seemed feasible.

For now, it was the only viable method. The Justice League couldn't be relied upon at the moment, so Su Ming had to do it himself.

Without further hesitation, he decided to proceed according to his plan. He was going to blow up this black-and-purple sun, using the power of other Lantern Corps to counteract its core.

Back when Sinestro was still with the Yellow Lantern Corps, he had used a similar method to destroy the Green Lantern Central Battery. The other Lantern Corps' Central Batteries had all faced similar fates.

Su Ming intended to rush into Umbrax's power source, where he would detonate Black Lantern energy, fully activate it with X-metal.

The question was whether he could avoid being melted by this bizarre star.

"Come on, Sinestro, let's see if you can keep up with me—prove yourself in front of your new master!"

Su Ming deflected Sinestro's various attacks while constantly taunting him, hoping to throw him off balance. This had been one of Sinestro's weaknesses in the past.

That weakness was arrogance.

He believed himself to be the ruler, needing no master. His Yellow Lantern Corps had always been under his dictatorship, which was why it was often called the "Sinestro Corps."

Sure enough, Sinestro charged forward, attacking Su Ming with purple beams and constructs.

Su Ming deliberately allowed himself to be hit by one of the constructs, using the force to propel himself towards Umbrax.

Sinestro immediately realized Su Ming's intention and chased after him, trying to grab him with giant energy hands, but Su Ming skillfully evaded each attempt.

Eventually, Sinestro halted, and Su Ming's speed increased.

Umbrax's gravitational pull took hold of Su Ming, drawing him towards its core like a comet.

John had said it had self-awareness, so now it was likely planning to consume Su Ming.

Although its surface showed no signs of change, still displaying that purple-black appearance, Su Ming felt as though it was opening a giant mouth, waiting for him to enter.

There was no hesitation—there was no room for regret. Like a stone, he plunged into Umbrax's core.

Clark, breathing heavily, had just dealt with the giants. It wasn't that he had suddenly become stronger by absorbing solar energy; it was because the giants had stopped on their own.

"It's all too late. The Stasis Force is unsealed, the world's destruction is nearing. Our mission has failed."

Martian Manhunter had been expelled from the mental network—he could no longer gather information. However, the wall that had been blocking them was now gone.

"We can still move forward, Clark. Look over there."

Behind the wall was a massive blue sphere, glowing as if it were made of semi-transparent glass, with visible edges and corners.

However, Clark made a strange sound, and a peculiar smile appeared on his face.

"That's not Clark, Martian. I told you we'd meet again."

"...Luthor?"

Luthor was now controlling his craft, using Kryptonite combined with some technological means to hack into Superman's brain and take over his consciousness. He could now use Superman's body as if he were controlling a remote-controlled robot.

"You discovered it too late. Joker, do it."

Martian Manhunter lost control of his body. The last thing he heard was Joker's maniacal laughter echoing in his mind.

"Luthor, oh Luthor, couldn't you wait until I cut off Hawkgirl's head? Or maybe yours?"

"Once this is over, you can cut off whoever's head you like."

Joker took control of Hawkgirl's craft, and with some of his toxins, took over Martian Manhunter as well.

He liked Martians—they could change their bodies at will. Joker's first act was to make J'onn's face show a big smile.

The corners of his mouth stretched all the way to his ears.

"Hahaha, let's go grab it then."

The two of them, in control of the heroes' bodies, flew towards the enormous glowing sphere. The Totality they sought was right before them.

Closer, closer still, Luthor gripped the "doorknob" tightly, knowing it was the key to the world's destruction.

He wanted to correct the future—not let it become what others dictated.

The doorknob-like object had a symbol opposite to the "Transcendence" symbol—it was "Destruction."

Just as Luthor felt the blue light shining on his face, a smile spreading across it... a shadow emerged from the darkness and attacked him.

A pitch-black cape blocked the view from the craft entirely. A fist smashed through the windshield, pulling him out of the cockpit.

"Batman! Weren't you eaten?!"

Batman raised the ring on his hand, where a glimmer of green light was shining.

"Even mutated cells are still Clark's cells, which means Kryptonite works on them."

Luthor cursed at the top of his lungs. "With teammates like you, who needs enemies?!"

Batman showed no reaction. He lunged at Luthor, who had been holding the glowing red doorknob, grinning foolishly the whole time.

Though he didn't know what it was, Bruce decided he needed to take it from Luthor.

Now was the perfect opportunity.
