Chapter 413: Ch.412 Heroine Yarn Ball

His strength was not equal to Diana's, that was known information.

The imprint personality of his opponent lacked intelligence, that was also known information.

So now that he had spun the lasso, causing her to whirl around, she would inevitably try to stop the spinning.

Once centrifugal force is generated, it's not so easily dispelled.

She didn't have many options; the easiest was to stop herself and then use her superior strength to make Su Ming spin, changing the center of the circular motion.

And this was what Su Ming wanted—a chance.

He saw Diana stop as expected, ceasing her backward lean from the impact, and forcefully pull the lasso, standing as if in mid-air.

When she yanked, Su Ming could feel Stranglehold's complaint—the force was immense, that tug alone was several hundred tons.

But now wasn't the time to comfort the symbiote; as per the plan, he allowed himself to be thrown by Diana.

Now the center of the rotation became Diana, with a golden rope linking the black-and-yellow Deathstroke, spinning around her like a satellite.

Fast enough that only a circle of afterimages remained.

The plan had worked.

How many times can a person spin on the spot at high speed? It depends on the individual.

For a well-trained acrobat, they might last around a minute.

For a super-soldier like Diana, it might be longer.

But it didn't matter—if her rotation speed wasn't enough, Su Ming could help her.

"Cape, fly around her."

If the Magical Levitation Cloak had the proper incantation, it could reach nearly limitless speeds, meaning even distant corners of the universe could be reached instantly, though whether the wearer could endure it was another matter.

But supersonic speed would do just fine.

If her rotational speed couldn't keep up with the circumferential speed of the cloak, the Lasso of Truth would get wound around her.

If she could keep up with the speed—hundreds of spins per second—how long could she hold on without getting dizzy?

If she let go, Su Ming would be flung into space, but the lasso would fall into his hands.

All three outcomes were favorable for Su Ming—this was the essence of tactics.

This plan targeted the human brain's balance mechanism. Even if controlled, Diana was still half-god, half-human. If she had human weaknesses, that could be exploited.

Of course, plans aren't foolproof. If she had the reaction time and speed to rotate while reeling in the lasso, Su Ming and she would quickly converge at a single point.

Before that happened, Su Ming would just have Stranglehold let go and fling himself away to avoid a sword strike from Diana.

But the imprinted personality looked like a berserker, and Su Ming felt she wouldn't think of such a move in a short time.

He just needed a few seconds.

Diana had a high aesthetic appreciation—she liked all kinds of art, be it sculpture or painting.

If she were calm, she would also be smart.

Her tactical awareness and teamwork ability far exceeded that golden-armored guy.

But her knowledge of math and physics was almost zero; even her skills with phones and computers were basic. Not to mention that this imprinted personality didn't know these things either.

Suppose the imprint could access her memories. Even then, Diana knew nothing about these subjects—a false personality couldn't invent knowledge out of thin air.

While spinning Diana rapidly, Su Ming dubbed the tactic the "Spinning Top Maneuver." Diana managed to keep up at first, but within a few seconds, she couldn't keep up.

After a few thousand spins, she was dizzy.

Superman sometimes grabbed villains and spun them like this, like throwing a hammer, but he'd only spin a dozen times at most—even Kryptonians got dizzy.

Not only did Diana stop, holding her head, but she also closed her eyes due to dizziness.

The opportunity had arrived. The cloak accelerated again, and in almost the next instant, she was tightly bound by the Lasso of Truth.

Su Ming wound the entire lasso around her. She now looked like a golden yarn ball.

The Lasso of Truth could extend and retract to a limited degree—not more than 300 yards (270 meters) long and no shorter than 2 meters. Why such limits existed? One would have to ask Hephaestus.

But considering that the Lasso of Truth was originally made from Gaia, the Titan Mother Earth's girdle, Su Ming had a bold thought...

Simultaneously, as the rope wrapped around her, the distance between them shrank drastically.

In the next second, Su Ming could feel Diana's breath on his mask.

Of course, if not for her eyes radiating purple energy and glaring at him fiercely, that would have been better.

However, being bound by the Lasso of Truth meant that the official weakness of Wonder Woman was triggered, and she lost her divine power.

Now, she only had the magical imprint's power and protection left.

But the imprint's power was still too strong. Su Ming had to knock her out quickly before Hecate could react and withdraw the power from the mark.

Magic power surged. Diana's hair stood on end, waving like seaweed. Blood streaked across her pale skin.

The imprint was controlling her, trying to break free of the lasso.

She was also firing magic in all directions, trying to disrupt Su Ming's next move.

The Magical Levitation Cloak blocked those purple rays, but they still exerted a pushing force—her energy blasts were trying to push him away.

The imprint was also damaging her body. If Su Ming didn't hurry, she might not hold up much longer.

Su Ming circled behind Diana again—her blind spot.

He sighed and grabbed her tightly from behind. With the lasso binding her, her strength advantage was gone.

"Sorry, Diana."

He spoke into her ear, though the imprint controlling her body only tried to bash his mask with the back of her head.

Without further hesitation, he ordered the cloak to dive toward the ground, while Stranglehold formed rotors, causing them both to spin rapidly.

This was the legendary "Spiral Comet Drop" from the toxic milk powder technique. Since she was already dizzy, he wasn't going to let her recover from the dizziness...

Phew

Arabella leisurely looked up at the sky, exhaling a smoke ring. After Su Ming and Diana disappeared above the clouds, the rest of the group went to aid Constantine and the others.

The Swamp Thing looked weak, Zatanna's magic had failed, and Constantine was on the verge of death.

Just one glance was enough for Arabella to make this assessment.

Detective Chimp, being experienced, immediately connected this to Constantine's cancer.

"What about your demon blood?"

He asked Constantine.

Constantine, leaning against the city wall and being supported by Zatanna, took out his flask and took a swig.

But now, all he could taste was blood.

"His demon blood was drained by the Inverted Man. What do we do now?" Zatanna asked Swamp Thing and Deadman.

The former turned away, unwilling to look at her, while the latter had some dark thoughts.

Deadman considered turning Constantine into a spirit like him, to serve the goddess Rama Kushna. Though Constantine was notoriously unreliable, his skills were undeniable.

Seeing no response, the anxious Zatanna turned her gaze to Arabella, Detective Chimp, and Donna.

Detective Chimp, after hearing the previous conversation, frowned in thought. He was a detective, not a doctor.

All of Constantine's cancer complications were hitting at once, and the fact he could still lift his flask was already a miracle.

Detective Chimp had no solution.

Donna had no understanding of this kind of situation. Her suggestion was to take Constantine to the Hall of Justice and put him in cryo.

Arabella did have an idea, but she needed to weigh some things, so for a while, there was a long silence among the group.

Only the distant figures of the two goddesses continued their destruction and devastation.
