Chapter 19: An Intruder?
Everyone watched the wheel of wind beneath Lucien's legs helped him stay above ground level but not too high. He ignored the eyes on him as he struggled to maintain balance since it felt like standing on a thin wire.
"He created a spell in just half an hour?" Instructor Emma muttered in disbelief as she watched Lucien getting shoved from side to side as he struggled to attain balance.
Lucien may not have noticed but actions had triggered both fear and admiration in the hearts of everyone around him. When looking at him, they thought back on his words on replacing the current emperor and becoming the new beast emperor. At first, it sounded dumb and impossible, but now, they couldn't help but feel like this is possible.
As for Hex, his thoughtful gaze was fixated on Lucien. Even though he has only known Lucien for a very short while, he could tell Lucien was more straightforward and honest than anyone he has ever met. He knew Lucien meant every word when he said he aimed to replace the current emperor and back then he didn't take it to heart because he considered this impossible, but seeing this he couldn't help but feel threatened.
The thought of having a single youth from a mid-tier god beast bloodline, aiming to take over the empire his family bled to create annoyed him and hostile intentions began flooding his mind. Unknown to Lucien, he had just made a new enemy!
DING!
DING!
DING!
BOOM!
Following the loud bell sound was a loud explosion that made the earth trembled and a massive golden cross could be seen at a distance blocking numerous spells thrown at it. During this time, Lucien's mind went blank and he was overwhelmed by fear and even falling off the wind wheel.
Who would have the guts to attack the empire?
Why are they attacking?
Also, why were they attacking from the western gate?
The western region of the empire was where the academy is located. While it is well defended, none of the noble families reside in this area, making it the best place to launch an attack from. Thinking back at this, Lucien concluded that it would take a while for the forces of the noble families to arrive, meaning that they could only rely on the instructors and the Dean to protect them!
"Dammit!" Lucien growled as he jumped on his feet and dashed towards the nearest teleportation platform, jumping into it and vanishing even before anyone could react!
"That idiot! If the walls have fallen that means the intruders have made it into the academy! That's the worst place to be right now!" Instructor Emma ran forward and jumped into the teleportation platform but it wasn't working anymore.
She tried to activate it a couple of times but it just wasn't working. Thinking on this, she concluded that Instructor Ham must have utilized his spatial seal to lock down the entire region in hopes of preventing the invaders from using the teleporting platforms to move at will.
"Damn that kid! After what just happened he will be considered an empire asset! If anything happens to him, I will be the one to blame! I will be executed on the spot!" Instructor Emma shuddered in fear!
Hex watched Lucien dash forward, he could have stopped him since but he didn't. He knew if the invaders had gotten past the walls, the school would be the worst place to be at right now.
"Let's hope he doesn't get hurt" Hex muttered with a vicious smile on his face.

Appearing in the class, Lucien wasted no time and quickly dashed out of the room. Upon leaving the room, his jaws dropped in shock as he gazed at something that seemed almost impossible to explain. The building was cut in half by an attack so powerful, that it left the stench of death everywhere.
"Dammit! What the hell is this? Could it be that an empire is attacking ours?" Lucien couldn't understand how someone would be able to destroy one half of a castle. What was even more shocking was that the castle was yet to fall and this can be considered as proof of how sturdy this building is
Woooooo!
Feeling a strong wind blow towards him, Lucien was forced to look out the window only to see the second wave of darkish purple aura shooting towards the building horizontally.
"Fuck my life!" Lucien screamed as he dashed forward and jumped off the window without a second thought.
The classroom dedicated to the War mage was located at the top of the castle so Lucien was left, free-falling to the ground while he watched the darkish purple aura obliterate the top half of the castle and not leave a speck of single dust behind!
"What the hell is that ability!" Lucien muttered in shock.
{Don't remember you will be reduced to a meat paste if you hit the ground!} Lucien screamed in his mind!
