Chapter 1119 Extraordinary Arrogance

The Grays of Jadeborough were merely a third-rate family, skirting the fringes of the city's upper echelon. Looking back over the past few decades, they had never produced anyone of significant ability.

However, starting from this generation and the last, there emerged Yvette Gray, who had quite a knack for computers and held a high-ranking position in Magnecal Tech. Later, Yvette personally trained Sabrina, who then became a team leader in Section Six.

The world was now in the information age, but the development of computers in this country had begun much later compared to foreign countries, and the nation didn't have as many outstanding achievers in the field. Therefore, talents in the tech industry were generally the focus of competition among major powers.

When Sabrina passed the exam for Section Six two years ago, it was a shock to many people, and she became slightly well-known.

After all, Section Six was a very mysterious entity filled with top-notch talents who worked with the nation.

Many were aware of the existence of the organization, but no one seemed to be able to figure out who its mastermind was.

Hence, Sabrina had always been aware of her own abilities, including the fact that she was very beautiful.

Her arrogance was truly extraordinary. Given that there were so few girls with a talent for computers, her status in Section Six soared as a result.

Who wouldn't give her a second glance?

Silas clearly understood the woman's usual demeanor too. A few days ago, Ashlyn had resolved the matter regarding the defense system, and that probably infuriated Sabrina to no end.

Thus, he could tell that the latter was clearly using these two tickets to recapture everyone's gazes. She wanted to be the center of attention again.

Those who wanted to be involved with Section Six continued to flatter her and fawn over her.

However, he refused. He just didn't like Sabrina's sense of superiority and self-important attitude.

Therefore, no matter what Sabrina said, he didn't want to get involved.

Unfortunately, Sabrina was their team leader.

“Go ahead and mow the lawn, then. You're a guy, so you shouldn't have a problem working under the sun.”

“Yeah! We'll have one less competitor if you don't go, anyway,” a few colleagues chimed in, laughing.

Silas gritted his teeth. “Fine! So be it.”

It's no big deal.

With that, he walked out of the office.

“The competition has finally begun.”

Ashlyn was all snugged up on the sofa, holding a cup of lemon tea.

She would occasionally take a sip before reaching for some popcorn.

Suddenly, she felt as though she were watching a movie at the theater.

But I don't think I've ever done that.

“Have you ever watched a movie at the theater?” she asked, giving Lucas' foot a light kick as the whimsical thought crossed her mind.

The man stilled briefly. “No.”

They had never done the things that seemed commonplace for ordinary couples and married households.

A playful glint flashed in Ashlyn's eyes. “How about we go watch a movie one day?”

The man curled his lips. “Let's do that.”

Just then, the excited voices of two commentators came from the television.

“First blood! Trevor has directly taken first blood in just three minutes!”

“He came up and went at it right away! The support was really strong too, and Sonia's attack sure helped!”

“What a great start!”

“Pretty good! Okay, the opposing ADC has respawned and returned to the bottom lane.”

Ashlyn watched with great interest. Sometimes, Lucas would join in for a game or two, but he generally didn't have much time.

He would only play when he had plenty of free time, but he didn't expect Ashlyn to be this engrossed.

He subtly raised an eyebrow.

Then, the woman next to him remarked coolly, “My prediction? With that positioning... there's no way to dodge.”

Right then, the television screen showed Trevor's support being dragged away by the opposing team's support robot.

Her prediction was spot on.

“Their ultimates are still on cooldown, so they can't force a team fight right now.”

As soon as she said that, the scene on the television changed to Trevor falling to the ground, followed by the support and mid-laner.

The top-laner and jungler narrowly escaped too.

Lucas was speechless.

“M-Ms. Berry, how are you able to analyze the game better than the commentators?”
