At that moment, Sienna had already arrived at the high-speed train station. She didn't choose to take a plane, but instead, she bought a ticket for the next departing high-speed train.

She didn't bring any luggage with her. All she had on her were some antiabortifacient prescribed by the doctor to prevent miscarriage.

In the early morning, rays of morning sunlight seeped through the gaps in the curtains.

Ashlyn lay on the bed and raised her slender and fair arm into the air. With her eyes half-open, she looked at the upright figure that had just stepped out of the bathroom.

Just as she was about to close her eyes and drift back into sleep, she heard Lucas, in his deep voice, whispering into her ear, “Aren't you supposed to give a lecture at the medical school at nine?”

Ashlyn looked at the man and pursed her lips. “You knew I had class, yet you were so excessive, keeping me up all night.”

Lucas lowered his head to glance at his watch, then leaned closer to the woman's stunningly beautiful face. “Didn't you like it?”

“Go away! Go away!” Ashlyn pushed him, but someone caught her hand in mid-air.

Lifting her eyes, a kiss as vast as the sky descended upon her, almost threatening to consume her whole.

When she was let go, her eyes were filled with a dazed look.

Lucas gently wiped away the glistening trace left on the corner of her lips with his cold fingers. Satisfied, he strode out of the room with his long legs.

Ashlyn finally snapped back to reality when she heard the sound of the bedroom door closing. She touched her swollen lips, looked at her torn nightgown, and stared resentfully at the ceiling. That man's kiss left my entire body burning with passion... How am I supposed to fall asleep now?

With that in mind, she got out of bed and went into the bathroom.

After breakfast, she and Lucas got in the car together, and they headed in the direction of the medical school.

As a medical school in Jadeborough, it was one of the top medical universities in the country.

The lecturers who served there were all renowned medical experts and professors within the country.

Chloe was one of them.

On that day, she was supposed to give her lecture. Whenever she lectured, the classroom would be particularly crowded with students who came to hear her speak. The room was always so full that there was no place to sit, and sometimes even the hallway was packed with people.

However, she was taken aback to find something odd after she pushed open the door to the classroom. Why are there significantly fewer people attending my class today? Heck, at least a third of my usual students aren't here!

Brianna then said with a gloomy face, “Professor Yeatman, I heard that the classroom next door has invited a beautiful expert they met at the cinema. Was Professor Scott out of her mind? How could she invite an unknown person to teach at our school? Even though it's just one class, it's still so ironic! A lot of guys rushed there when they heard about how beautiful the expert was.”

“An unknown person?” Chloe frowned, a hint of displeasure surfacing between her brows. Larissa always attracts fewer students compared to me. Has she resorted to these underhanded tactics? Do we need to pull such tricks as lecturers these days?

“Forget about it. We shouldn't mind them,” Chloe said expressionlessly. “Let's take attendance and start the class.”

While gritting her teeth in frustration, Brianna found it hard to swallow her pride. Quietly, she edged toward the neighboring classroom.

As expected, the classroom was filled to the brim.

Whether it was along the aisles or the remaining open spaces at the back, they were all filled with students standing.

“I heard she's a beauty.”

“I heard her boyfriend is a handsome guy. He's going to teach us physical education.”
