Sabrina saw Jared subserviently bring out several bottles of medicine. “Boss, these are all the anti- radiation medications you asked for. Let's see if they work after this gentleman takes them.”
Ashlyn took it and glanced at it emotionlessly. “Distribute these medicines to everyone in Mr. Lester's laboratory.”
“All right.” Jared nodded immediately. “I'll arrange it right away.”
Hearing his ingratiating tone, almost as if he was begging for praise, made Sabrina's heart feel incredibly bitter. The dignified CEO of Centennial Healthcare is actually being so polite and courteous to Ashlyn and even seems to be trying to curry favor with her? This must be because this woman is flirtatious, using her captivating face to seduce Jared.
Sabrina was in a state of turmoil, feeling as if she were a mere clown standing there.
However, she simply refused to leave out of sheer stubbornness.
She was determined to see what other tricks Ashlyn had up her sleeve.
“Thank you, Mr. Quickton. Section Six will settle all expenses with Centennial Healthcare,” Lucas said, a hint of cool detachment in his deep black eyes.
“My boss can just request these medications from me at any time. Mr. Nolan, why are you being so polite?” Jared curled his lips. His eyes carried a hint of mischief. “What's the matter? My boss isn't willing to give it away? If he won't, I'll give it to you!”
“Slick talker!” Ashlyn raised an eyebrow, “All these medicines will be given to Section Six for free. In return, Section Six could develop some new energy vehicles, saving manpower and resources, which
could be useful for Centennial Healthcare.”
Upon hearing Ashlyn's words, Sabrina couldn't help but retort, “Ms. Berry, you sure have a great imagination. Do you think it's easy to develop a functional new energy vehicle? You're talking as if this is an easily accomplishable task.”
Ashlyn glanced at Sabrina, who was still there. I hadn't heard her voice for a while, and I thought Sabrina already left! So she's still here?
“Isn't Ms. Gray in charge of the technical department? I believe these issues shouldn't pose a problem for you, right?” With a smile, Ashlyn retorted, “Instead of spending time here guarding Jacob and mocking me, wouldn't it be better to go back and do some more research?”
Sabrina's face suddenly became contorted. “You!”
“What's the matter? I'm here, tending to Jacob, bringing him his medicine. Even though Section Six isn't yours, shouldn't you at least say thank you to me?”
