“Yuri? Who allowed you to come back?”

His voice was filled with disdain and mockery. “You, a deserted wife whose husband is in jail, dares to come back?”

Yuri, in her high heels, gracefully walked up to Chillton. With an expressionless face, she looked at her younger stepbrother and said, “I am the president's daughter. I can return whenever I want without the need to seek anyone's approval.”

Chillton initially thought that Yuri would be as trembling and timid as before, but to his surprise, she turned out to be so tough.

He was completely taken aback, looking at Yuri with disbelief. “This is outrageous, how dare you speak to me like this?”

“I'll speak to you however I want. It's none of your business,” Yuri said, her face adorned with elegant makeup. She looked radiant and full of life, nothing like the downtrodden wife she used to be.

How could a person change so much in such a short time?

It was as if she had been reborn.

Chillton was utterly bewildered. “I heard you escaped from the Guzman family, and Yosef is now in jail. The Guzman family despises you, yet you dare to come to the President's office? The Guzman family will surely come for you tonight.”

Yuri strode past him without stopping, her voice laced with a hint of coldness. “So what? Am I supposed to be afraid of them?”

Chillton originally wanted to say that she was terrified of the Guzman family in the past.

He quickened his pace to catch up with Yuri, his face twisted in disgust as he sternly warned, “Listen, we have important guests coming over for dinner tonight. You better not cause any trouble. Watch your mouth. If you dare offend our guests, I promise you, there will be consequences!”

Feeling flustered and exasperated, Chillton reached out to grab Yuri's arm, intending to push her away.

To everyone's surprise, Yuri managed to dodge and even retaliated with a slap. “I'm your sister. Show me some respect!”
