Nathan felt as if his heart had been broken.

Despite his anxiety about signing with the Nolan Group's racing club, he constantly hid from Liam, fearing that Liam would break his legs and scold him for siding with the competition.

In the end, Nathan found out that Liam was actually close to Lucas. This is unacceptable!

Lucas replied: You wouldn't understand a man's friendship.

Nathan: How come I don't understand? Am I not a man?

Lucas: It's because you are still young.

Nathan: I'm just a tiny bit younger than you all!

Lucas: That doesn't change the fact that you're still too young! Entertain yourself with your car!

Putting away his phone, Lucas glanced at the time. “We should get going.”

Liam nodded. “I'm not going back for now.”

Lucas didn't say anything more. He walked toward Ashlyn, his large hand firmly holding her small one. “Let's go back to H Nation.”

Watching their figures recede into the distance, Liam then turned to Yuri. “May I see our daughter?”

Yuri looked at him, slightly startled. He was very sincere, and there was a hint of a pleading look in his eyes as he sought her opinion.

A peculiar thought suddenly popped into her mind. If I were to refuse, would he wait until I changed my mind?

Throughout her life, she had never encountered a man who respected her thoughts and opinions as much as he did.

She felt somewhat at a loss and slightly overwhelmed.

For the first time, a handsome, wealthy, and influential man was asking her so gently. Her heartbeat suddenly quickened, pounding intensely.

Wave after wave of excitement surged from the depths of her being.

He waited for her response for quite a while, but Liam wasn't irritated. He continued to look at her gently, “If you don't agree, it's okay to take your time. I can wait.”

He said it! He really said it! He can wait! He actually values my thoughts and respects me! Yuri had never experienced that feeling before. It was quite wonderful and comfortable.

It felt as if a gentle spring breeze had caressed her cheek.

disagree.”

As soon as she began to speak, for some unknown reason, her cheeks started to feel a bit hot and flushed.

She then lowered her head and murmured, “Renae is studying at the association. Ms. Jensen and a few other young ladies are mentoring her. Ms. Berry said she wanted to nurture Renae to be exceptionally good.”

“Are you referring to Ashlyn?” Liam's eyes narrowed slightly. He had long heard that Ashlyn was no ordinary woman. I never expected her to be so impressive.

“Yes.” When Yuri mentioned Ashlyn, her clear, large eyes seemed to be filled with stars, sparkling brightly. They were full of her admiration and affection for Ashlyn, something she couldn't hide at all.

Seeing that, Liam's heart was filled with a hint of sourness. He would be jealous if he didn't know Ashlyn was a woman. The moment she mentioned Ashlyn, her entire face lit up.

“Ms. Berry is very fond of Renae, and has arranged for her to have the best teachers. Renae also has a lot of homework.” Yuri started to talk more when she mentioned her daughter.

Liam knew she was of a shy nature and did not interrupt her. Instead, he turned his head to listen to her voice, his eyes revealing a hint of gentle encouragement.

Yuri's face turned a bit red. “Did I talk too much?”

“It's okay. I like listening. Is Renae doing well in her studies?” At this point, Liam thought that what his

daughter was learning was nothing more than language and mathematics, perhaps with a special skill or two at most.

However, when he arrived at the association with Yuri, he, who always prided himself on having seen the world and been in big situations, was utterly astounded.

“Renae is particularly hardworking,” Yuri nodded. “Come on. Let's go find her.”

An hour later, the car came to a smooth stop in front of Athena Mother and Child Protection Association.

After Yuri got out of the car, Liam followed behind her, stepping through the gates of the association.
