In the small courtyard of the cabin, Spencer kicked the ground restlessly.
“Mr. Nolan, why hasn't Ms. Berry come out yet? What could she possibly have to talk about with Sienna?”
Lucas' body might be facing Spencer, but his gaze was fixed on a small tree in the courtyard. The side profile of his features was sharply defined, but his expression was indiscernible.
“No rush. She'll come out when she's ready,” Lucas said indifferently, his emotionless voice revealing nothing.
He lifted his hand to unfasten the buttons of his coat, and as it swung open, it seemed as if some of the tension in his chest also dissipated.
His patience was wearing thin at Ashlyn still not coming out.
Just then, Ashlyn opened the door. Lucas was about to speak, but she turned around and went inside again.
