My Goalkeeping System

Chapter 165 Transfer Offer Update

Chapter 165 Transfer Offer Update

<You did better compared to last time but you still need a lot of work>

"I know," Dave muttered before he slowly sat up on his bed.

He turned his gaze to the other side of the bed which was empty and let out a sigh before getting up on his feet.

"This is the part about having her friends sleep over that I don't like." He mumbled. "I wish any of my friends would want to sleep over so that I can return the favor."

He slid into his running boots and changed into something more comfortable for running before he quickly made his way down the staircase to find Emilia already waiting for him there.

"I was wondering when you were going to get here." She said before getting up from the couch. "Good morning."

"Good morning, I see you have a habit of getting up super early." He said.

"Yeah, I guess so."

"Where's Emma?" He asked.

"She's still upstairs but I'm sure she will be getting up soon," Emilia replied.

"Okay." The goalkeeper said before he made his way to the door. "Shall we?" He said after opening the door.

The two talked about a few things as they ran down the road and as always, they took the path that led into the forest, and now they were standing in front of the hill.

"It's going to be the same thing as yesterday right?" She said with her gaze on the hill.

"Well, since none of us is going anywhere today, why don't we step it up a notch?" He suggested.

'I just wish the system could come up with a challenging quest for me that is related to climbing this hill.'

"Step it up a notch?" Emilia said with a horrid look on her face.

[ Quest received ]

[ Climb up and down the hill thirty times without pausing for more than two minutes ]

[ Quest rewards ]

[ +80 exp ]

[ +1 skill point ]

[ +1 stat point to all stats excluding energy ]

'These rewards don't really impress me but I'll do it for physical improvement.'

"Yeah, we did twelve yesterday, right? How about we do thirty today?"

"Thirty?" Emilia said before swallowing hard.

"Yeah, you don't have a seminar to attend today and we have Emma at home to cook so there's nothing to be worried about." He said.

"I know but I'm not sure I'll be able to walk back after doing something like that." She said,

"If you can't walk then I'll carry you."

"And you think you'll be able to walk." She said

"Yeah, my stamina level isn't as low as yours." He said.

There was no reply from her, she just stood there and watched as he began to make his way up the hill.

"Are you coming or not?" Dave turned to her to ask after going up the hill a little.

"Coming." She said before she quickly made her way toward him.

Twenty-five minutes later, the two were sitting at the top of the hill breathing heavily.

"That was intense," Emilia said.

"Yeah, I thought you would quit before the twentieth climb but I guess you have a lot more stamina than I thought." The goalkeeper said.

"Yeah, and now my legs feel like vegetables." She said before raising both of her legs.

"Don't worry, you'll be able to walk fine by the time we start heading back." He said.

"So, you won't carry me." She said before turning her gaze to him.

"If you insist that you can't use your leg, okay." He said with a shrug.

"I think I'll be able to walk fine." She said before turning her gaze to her legs.

"Good."

[ Quest completed ]

[ You have successfully run up and down the hill thirty times ]

[ +80 exp received ]

[ +1 skill point received ]

[ +1 stat point added to all stats ]

[ 32% stamina remaining ]

[ 51/127 Energy ]

'My stamina level has really improved in a very short amount of time.'

<Yeah, and the best part is that you can still improve it more by adding more of your unused stat points to it>

'Yeah, but I think it'll be best to leave those stat points untouched for now.'

Emma was busy in the kitchen when she heard the door open and quickly went to check who it was although she already knew that it was Dave and Emilia.

The two looked really tired as they entered the room and the only thing they could think of was the couch.

They quickly made their way to the couch and crashed down there.

"What happened to you two?" Emma asked, walking closer to them. "I know I don't do morning runs but it's not supposed to be this tiring."

"Running wasn't the only thing we did," Emilia said.

"What else did you do?"

"Do you remember that hill I told you about?" Dave asked.

"Yeah, the one that led to the hidden market." She said,

"We had to climb it up and come back down thirty times."

"Thirty times?" Emma said before turning her gaze to Emilia. "And you had to do it with him."

"Uhu." She said with a nod.

"I'll be upstairs if I'm needed," Dave said before he got up from the floor and made his way toward the staircase.

After having their meals together in the dining room and having a little chat together, Dave made his way upstairs to get a little more rest.

He was lying on his bed going through his phone when he came across an article with the title, 'Top ten BPL players that fans would love to see more of next season.'

The list seemed pretty interesting and had some of his teammates in it like Mateo who was occupying the number four spot and Roland Ryle who was occupying the number two spot. After reading everything that was written under him, he scrolled further down to see that he was the one sitting in the number one spot.

"Really? They want to see more of me?" The goalkeeper muttered.

<Well, you did surprise everyone with your suddenly reformed performances so they'll like to see how you'll do in the long run next season and just bear in mind that a lot of them will be expecting you to fail so that they can start blabbing about how your performance at the end of last season was a fluke>

'I know that.'

He was about to continue going through his phone when his phone vibrated as the name Clark popped up in front of the call screen.

"Hey, Clark, what's up?" He said as soon as he picked up the call.

"I have transfer offer updates for you," Clark said.

"Transfer offer updates?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, what's going on?" The goalkeeper asked.

"Eintracht Frankfurt is going to support an official bid for you next month."

"There's no need for that, I'm not going there." He said.

"I know but they are not the only ones who want you," Clark said.

"Two new clubs have just shown interest in you, two clubs from two of the most decent leagues in Europe."

"Which clubs?" Dave asked.

"Manchester United and Villarreal."
