My Identities Were All Exposed After I Was Pampered by Everyone at My Grandfather's House!

Chapter 7

Chapter 7

Self-defense

From the looks of it, her mother might not have eloped just to be with a man, but also to escape from this place.

With the order from the first Madam, the controller of the Qiao household, several servants including the butler were ready to take Qiao Yue down.

Qiao Yue’s wrist turned, and a dagger that was still stained with the snow wolf’s blood was in her hand.

“Want to catch me? Let’s see if you are able to do so.”

Although Qiao Yue’s words were directed at the servants and butler, her eyes were locked on the first Madam of the Qiao family.

Tao Qian gasped from the stare; she never thought that she would be frightened by a little brat. She flew into a rage and roared, “What are you afraid of? Go find some rope and tie him up. Get a few more people to help. I don’t believe that he can take down seven or eight of you.”

“Today, I’m going to set things straight in the Qiao family!”

Qiao Yue’s face was filled with ridicule. She looked at the woman as if she was a clown.

Qiao Xin threw Qiao Yue a smug look. No one in the Qiao family would welcome Qiao Yue now. Everyone wanted Qiao Yue dead, or that he never existed.

A few servants surrounded Qiao Yue with ropes. Just as they were about to act, a few voices suddenly broke the tense atmosphere.

“Stop.”

Everyone turned to look at the source of the voice and saw that it was Qiao Jing.

As soon as Qiao Xin saw Qiao Jing, she thought that another person had come to support her, so she ran up to Qiao Jing and cried to him about Qiao Yue’s “evil deeds”.

Qiao Yue’s ears were tired from listening to Qiao Xin’s complaints over and over again. She glanced at Qiao Jing, who was letting Qiao Xin make up stories about her, and sneered in her heart, “The Qiao family members are really one kind.”

Qiao Jing didn’t interrupt Qiao Xin. Instead, he guessed what had happened based on what she said.

Looking at the bloodied but calm young man, Qiao Jing’s brows furrowed deeply.

How could he still be so calm when he had encountered such a bad situation?

Shaking off Qiao Xin’s hand, Qiao Jing walked over to Qiao Yue and asked, “Qiao Yue, are you alright?”

“As you can see, I’m very well.”

Qiao Yue chuckled, just like when they first met. Her smile was still bright, but it made Qiao Jing a little uncomfortable. When did Qiao Yue started smiling like this?

Although Qiao Yue was smiling, she was curious why Qiao Jing was so concerned about her.

“What about the blood?” Qiao Jing asked hesitantly.

“This?” Qiao Yue pointed at the blood on her and asked in return. Seeing Qiao Jing nod, she replied, “Wolf blood. Your sister released the wolves to bite me to death, so I had no choice but to kill the wolf in self-defense.”

“No! You did it on purpose! You deliberately killed my wolf!”

Qiao Xin pointed at Qiao Yue and screamed as she burst into tears.

Qiao Yue was annoyed by Qiao Xin’s crying and the dagger in her hand spun faster and faster.

Qiao Jing stepped forward and held Qiao Yue’s wrist as he said, “You’re not injured?”

Qiao Yue gave Qiao Jing an inquisitive look, put away her dagger and shook her head.

“Second brother, Rayan is dead! Why are you so concerned about an outsider?” Qiao Xin said to Qiao Jing with tears in her eyes.

Because of the attitude the third family had always shown, the other two families always treated them rather well. Qiao Xin naturally grew up as a little princess of the Qiao family. Now that she saw that her second brother didn’t even look at her, Qiao Xin felt her chest tighten as she turned green with envy.

“Qiao Xin, everyone has to take responsibility for their decisions. You ordered Rayan to kill, did you not think that he would be killed?” Qiao Jing said coldly as he took a tissue from the servant and wiped the blood off Qiao Yue’s face.

Qiao Yue didn’t move and allowed Qiao Jing to do as he pleased. She looked curiously into Qiao Jing’s cold black eyes and suddenly wanted to know why this man was cozying up to her.

Qiao Xin’s heart ached from Qiao Jing’s reprimand. She covered her face and ran into her mother’s arms, sobbing.

Seeing her daughter being wronged before her eyes, the third Madam no longer kept silent and said, “Mr. Qiao, today is your first day at the Qiao residence and you acted so recklessly at the host’s home before your identity is confirmed. Is this how you behave as a guest?”

After the third Madam finished speaking to Qiao Yue, she turned her attention to Qiao Jing.

“Xiao Jing, your sister Xin’er’s thoughts were in a mess just now and she didn’t explain the sequence of events properly. I heard from the servants that Mr. Qiao was disrespectful to Xin’er first, so Xin’er wanted to teach him a lesson. It wasn’t premeditated murder.”
