She doubted it.
Could he be called handsome?
All she felt was a predatory vibe from him.
A sense of oppression, a sense of utter dominance. But there was that familiar warmth she had gotten so used to by now, unchanged. Regardless, there was a weight to him now that made her gulp.
He gently pushed her hands against the cold rock of the cavern, and she looked at him unamusingly. "Xiao Li, the girl is beside us, no naughtiness…"
Han Li's lustful gaze, amused and intrugued, calmed down and he planted a gentle kiss on her lips, which she reciprocated lovingly. A second later, they parted.
"What an unexpected benefit," he muttered, looking at her flushed face.
"What happened?" she asked, clearing her throat and examining his changes.
Han Li's hair was black, not the usual kind. It was now a lustrous darkness, thick and healthy, almost like steel threads, while his eyes were more strikingly red, if until now, he seemed wise, now he seemed all-seeing. His eyes seemed to have a power to penetrate hearts and see right through it. And on top of all of that, like the final ingredient in a masterpiece, were the two tiny red moles on his forehead, barely visible because his face was just inch away from hers. It added that final touch to his caramel skin, making him look like a masterpiece carved by the gods.
Nah, he was carved by herself, who was she giving the credit to? He was her masterpiece.
Hearing her question, Han Li pondered. Throughout his whole body, hidden from normal senses now ran vibrant Heart Qi, the ephemeral power of the heart. It was no longer the Heart Qi that was barely worthy of being called Heart Qi. It was the true, pure Heart Qi.
It was the power of his Heart of Cultivation. Moreover, it was just as strong as it was in his past life, when he was a Transcendence Stage Cultivator. According to how he remembered, it was the first level of Heart Qi, which people would gain upon becoming Transcendent.
Han Li sat to his mother's side and made her rest her head on his lap. She knew he was contemplative and serious this time, so she didn't bother him, she closed her eyes and felt his hands massage her hair gently while also playing with her cheeks.
His mind on the other hand, was contemplating the consequences.
Usually, throughout a cultivator's journey to the apex, their hearts would grow stronger and stronger, especially through training their Proficiencies in weapons or similar things. Even Yue Li had Heart Qi, but it was impossible to be used because she didn't have a Dao Soul with a Heart inside it.
But Transformation Type Cultivators did have hearts in their Dao Soul, but they still can't use their Heart Qi, why? THe question boggled his mind for only a brief moment before he gained an understanding.
Because their hearts were not strong enough.
Only Transcendants had transcended the mortal coil, they were entirely of another level compared to all previous Stages of cultivation. In that Stage, the difference between Transformation and Ethereal blur, with a wave, Transcendents could create a disaster for mankind, even for the continent as a whole if there were no one to stop them.
Even though Han Li's body wasn't Transcendent, his heart was. Till now, the Organs in his Dao Soul weren't completely real yet, but now that they had become real, it was natural he could use the full power of his Heart Qi now. But that also made his heart skip a beat.
If his Heart Qi was already as strong as Transcendants at the Evolution Stage, what would it become when he reaches Power Birth Stage? What if he Transcends?
It would only become stronger and stronger through every level up, as his Dao Soul grew stronger.
The only issue was, he didn't really know how to make the best use of Heart Qi. When he became a Transcendant, he was being hunted down from all sides unlike the other Transcendants, so he didn't have the chance to learn from other Transcendants or records that the Four Great Sects kept, so his use of the Qi was limited to instinctual level at best.
The only ways he knew how to use it were for making binding contracts, hiding his Soul Sense, and using it as an aura to dominate others, even Power Borns would be startled if not cowered to that aura. Yue Li had just sensed a wisp of it.
He wouldn't be so much of a show off to make his mom actually frightened.
"Heart Qi…" Han Li touched the Life Sword laid next to him.
In the continent, only four people currently had Heart Qi, the Four Great Sect's highest standing people—the Four Great Transcendents. All of the others wouldn't even know how it felt like to have a power like this. But there was no way they would teach him how to use it, if they knew he had it, the best thing to happen would be getting his eyes gouged out.
500 years of experience is a thing everyone would want to covet if they knew of it.
'It is such a unique power but in the end, not so useful…' He pondered. 'Except, Yang Wei's Spirit knows how to use it.'
Yue Li felt her son's hand glide through her cheek as he inserted a finger into her mouth, she bit it gently, it was warm but too hard.
'His body became tougher too, not just the organs…' she lamented inside. He was already a piece of work in the bed she had to ask him to avoid using vibrations, she hoped this wouldn't make it too hard for her.
She licked on his finger while thinking until he looked at her in curiously.
"What are you, a dog?" he asked.
Yue Li glared at him, and spitting out the finger, her cheeks flushed. "You inserted the finger in, I didn't know what to do…"
Han Li smiled. "So what, you will lick everything I insert in? Have some will of your own, woman."
Coughing to herself, she tried to stand up from his lap with a pout but a simple hand gently placed above her made that an impossible idea. Her son… he was too strong.
"Mom, do you know what Power my organs got due to making them similar to the Lust Demon?"
She looked at him curiously. "What Power? It couldn't be anything good."
