Chapter 99 Absolute

Chapter 99 Absolute
The majestic sun peaked from the canopies, and the misty lands brightened up. The verdant canopies of leaves trickled down gentle drops of water while some birds flew off their nests in search of some morning prey.
Southern Lust City was as calm as any other day. In the city's heart, the vendors got busy setting up their stalls early in the morning, while in the Starlight Zone, a similar thing happened.
The children were still asleep in their homes under their thick blankets and certainly were not yet playing tag like usual. It was way in the morning. It was five o'clock!
The lazy bums of the city and the young men who were looked down on and called lazy bums for being unable to find a good job were the same, sleeping comfortably in their beds while deep in the embrace of their comfy blankets.
Han Li, one of the Lazy Bums of the city for the past few days, almost more than a month—as spoken by the aunties in the area—yawned as his eyes blinked open. His mother's supple body was lying atop him still, drooling on his chest while deep in her sleep.
And on his left was Liyue, who was hugging his head tightly. On the other hand, on his right was Li Yao's foot. It didn't stink, luckily.
'She really can't sleep without tossing and turning at least ten times every minute…' Han Li's sleepy eyes twitched.
She was about to fall off of the bed, to boot.
The bed was quite small for all four of them, but it wouldn't have mattered if she didn't toss around much.
He blinked, and his blurry mind cleared up and escaped its sleepiness. Growing thoughtful about whether or not to wake them up for training today, he shook his head inside and, with one of his free hands that did not have anything on it, unlike the other—which Liyue was using as her pillow—pulled Li Yao back into the bed.
She comfortably tossed around and soon snatched more of the others' blankets. Han Li sighed with a smile. 'You didn't move till now, and you move so much even in sleep now. It really must have been quite uncomfortable being unable to move.'
She kicked his jaws slightly.
His eyes twitched again, and he pushed her legs aside and took a deep breath of the cold air permeating the room. His whole body trembled as he woke up entirely. Then, without waking any of the three women, he gently moved out of their embrace and sighed as he saw the tight hold over his clothes that both Liyue and Yue Li had. It was his first time ever sleeping on one bed with Liyue, so he was pretty surprised.
Gently taking their hands, he did a little trick on them, and their hands loosened.
It was his Magic Power—now Talent—that hadn't been used so far since its birth.
[Lack of Lust: The ability to reduce other people's desires over things.]
He had made this power into a Talent so that he could make other people have no Lust or other covetous emotion over his women; he could use this power on such arrogant people to avoid a probable conflict.
He knew beautiful women could be deadly, and since he had decided to accept such a deep burden like Love, it was only natural he prepared enough for it.
'To think I would use this power like this now…' He smiled and stretched his body as small cracks echoed out. His whole body felt refreshed and enthusiastic for training.
Since yesterday was quite a special day, he didn't mind if the three didn't train today, but he was not them, and thus, he couldn't slack.
He briefly looked at his hands with Life Vision.
[Skin Building of the Demon Transformation: 11.01% complete]
[Minor Lust Dao Crystals: 21]
Since he used up 100 crystals yesterday, his first transformation, 'Skin', had progressed, and it should be much more harder to kill him now than before. Even though it would still pale in comparison to the Skin of a Transformation Path Cultivator.
'30% completed Skin should be as tough as an Averagely Talented Transformation Cultivator. 60% completed, and my Skin should get as tough as a Highly Talented Transformation Cultivator. And if I cultivate it to 100%, my skin should be as good as Yang Wei's with his Sacred Talent.'
Smiling, he walked over to the kitchen and took a knife.
He placed it over his palm and tried to cut his hand. It was hard even to move half of a half of an inch in as if he was attempting to cut a taut rubbed with the solidity of something beyond rubber. But he closed his eyes and wondered slightly.
If he moved the knife good enough, to the level an Evolved Master of Knives could…
He changed the pressure on the knife ever so slightly, raising it and moving for a cut…
A red line of blood appeared on his palm.
'It is at most the level of High-level Proficiency that I just used, and in quite the bad way too.'
That meant he could be hurt by even Average Proficiency Evolved using normal weapons as long as they used their strength on it well. Of course, they also had to have a physical strength similar to him for this to be the case.
'But weapons are rarely part of a Cultivator's base strength. It is always their Magic Powers or Body that comes first.'
If he could cultivate his skin to be tougher, it would be impossible for the average Joe to hurt him from then on. Stretching, he smiled and went to the bathroom to finish some normal routine.
Brushing his teeth and such.
…
Han Li spent the next two hours deep in training.
His body was already used to its strength, and his Proficiency had no way of rising higher at all at this point.
He was a Transcendent being playing with simple weapons, chopstick-like things, so there was nothing for him to learn from it much to improve his Proficiency.
As he was finally feeling some sweat appear after two hours, he sighed and looked at his hands with Life Vision.
His Proficiency was higher than his Cultivation Stage.
He had just thought of this while completing the 1200th push-up today.
Even though his Proficiency in Swords was: Sword (Transcendence — High Proficiency), he obviously couldn't use the sword that perfectly at the Evolution Stage.
If he had to use that level of the Sword, that level of senses and that level of body was an absolute must. Only Transcendant could have Transcendant Proficiency in the first place, so his situation itself was quite messed up.
He was in the backyard of Liyue's home, and as his mind called, a black sword flew over from inside while evading the walls like a dirty little mouse. It was fast and precise as it soon flew into his hands.
Han Li held it firmly and started to do some basic moves.
One side arc.
Thrust.
Slice.
Chop.
Swift shifts.
The air seemed to have been slightly parted as whooshing, ice-cutting-like sounds echoed.
'It is better than Evolved Mastery at Sword, but not even nearly as good as Power Born Average Mastery,'
He contemplated.
Having fought Yang Wei—almost fought—Han Li had also gotten much more serious in his immediate battle strength. Till now, he hadn't cared much about it since that wouldn't have had much use, since his first conflict—if it all went as planned—would be months from now in a place far from here. But Yang Wei's existence was like a drop of ink poured into white rice.
It ruined the simplicity of his plans.
So he had to care about his immediate battle strength, too.
'My Proficiency is like a barrier in between the two Major Stages of cultivation…' Han Li blinked. That gave him much inspiration about the world as a whole and also made him quite contemplative.
'I shall name this level of proficiency as Absolute Proficiency,' he chuckled as the sword cut the air again.
His heart was beating a bit more vigorously today.
No matter what, he was also a cultivator deep down. He was proud of his achievements.
Han Li looked at his hand with Life Vision for one last time and was a bit startled, but also having expected this, took a deep breath.
[Absolute Evolved Proficient in more than a hundred different tools, ranging from sword, knife, spear, blade, kunai, and more.]
That was his Proficiency now.
It had always been the same previously but now that he changed it to have a better understanding of himself in his mind, the way Life Vision showed it to him also changed. That meant the information Life Vision gave was clearly based on his own thoughts and understanding.
'This power of my eyes is far too profound for the current me…'
His ears suddenly twitched as he heard some bed rustling sounds.
'Liyue woke up,' he thought.
