Chapter 57: UNTITLED

(I apologise for taking so long to upload new chapters, I had a bit of writer's block) ^^

FLASHBACK:

Chris who had been waiting for news which could lead him to Alicia's whereabout sat quietly in Alicia's room. As a spoilt young girl, she had all sorts of unnecessary belongings in her bedroom, more so that she would sometimes loose what was most important to her.

A few minutes later, Chris found a gold box under the bed, it looked like it had been there for quite some time. unlike most hidden boxes, this one was most likely put in plain sight so it could be found easily, but what bugged Chris was the chance of Alicia potentially having a secret in the first place.

Chris looked around the room in order to find the key to open the box, yet there was no such key in sight. He ultimately gave up the idea a few tries, but he could not forget about it either.

END OF FLASHBACK

Now sited on Alicia's bed again, Chris felt a sort of DeJa'Vu, everything seemed to have taken him back to that specific moment years ago.

Chris decided to look under the bed again, and the box was there once again. when he got his hand on the box, Chris found out that the key to the box was put in place, as if it was waiting for someone to open it.

Chris opened the box and when he saw what was inside, he stared blankly at the contents without moving an inch. He was still trying to gather himself in order to fully know what was going on, everything seemed so unreal that he himself could not bring himself to face such a revelation.

THERE WAS A SUDDEN KNOCK ON THE DOOR,

Chris did not move in his place and simply continued to stare at the box intently.

Paul entered the room with Jennifer by his side, when they both saw Chris there, Jennifer quickly asked, "What are you doing in little Ally's room Chrissy?" Chris did not answer his mother's question. Paul simply walked towards Chris and snatched the box away from him, when he saw what his son was looking at, his face dropped, and with glassy eyes, he looked at his wife helplessly. Jennifer also took a look at what was inside, and when she glanced at the picture on top of a pile of letters which were inside the box, she slowly looked at Chris and said, "I think it's time your father and I tell you something."
