My OP Minion System in the Apocalypse

Chapter 191 Restart

Chapter 191 Restart

For the first time in a long time, I checked my Advanced System Controls.

My code had been automatically running during the entire vampire invasion, so my army should've been growing. I wanted to begin building a kingdom with my Minions. Thus, it'd be a good idea to start keeping track of all of my workers.

Oh boy. I was expecting to see quite a large mess once I opened the menu and looked at the actual specifications of the Minions. It was probably going to take quite a while to fix up everything since they were all running based on a simple code I wrote.

My eyes were splashed by the scene of words and numbers everywhere.

I certainly had quite a lot of Minions. I didn't even half close to all of them around me at the moment, but if I did, it'd probably take up a large chunk of the forest. I was at the point where it would be incredibly inconvenient to move around with all of them.

After having a look at everything, I'd likely be taking a role closer to a commander from the back than leading from the front. With my army, I contemplated what I'd do.

I definitely wanted to start building some bases throughout the forest as strongholds and places where I could store my grand army.

I decided to make a few groups and send them off to start building camps.

[30x] Minions (Combat Division - Various Types)

[15x] Minions (Magic Division - Various Types)

[x5] Builder Minion

After thinking for a little while, I decided a group like that would be my best strategy. They had enough manpower in terms of combat to defend the builders as they constructed the camps. I programmed some code into them before sending them off.

I made a few more groups and sent them off as well. I hoped to get around ten-or-so camps, which meant that I'd have some control over the forest. With my remaining Minions, I began construction of my main settlement, which would be situated where I was currently resting.

It was a pretty good location. There was a water source nearby, the terrain was flat and relatively easy to traverse, and it wasn't near any danger that I was aware of. With over 30 Builder Minions, I began the construction of several huts to signify my existence.

I also made some light fortifications around the border of my settlement. I still wasn't sure exactly how large I wanted it to be, so I had some Builder Minions build [stone walls] around quite a large area surrounding me. This way, I'd have plenty of space to build lots of different infrastructures depending on what I needed.

Zombies weren't that big of an issue due to my large army, so I wasn't really too concerned with building defences against them at the moment. My main goal was still to take over as much land as possible and compete with the highest-ranking humans. I still didn't know what systems they had, but I assumed that some of them may have a similar troop-type system that I had. If so, it probably wouldn't be a long shot that I'd get into some large-scale combat.

As the sun set over the horizon, I made my way into one of the completed huts. It seemed that with such a large number of Builder Minions, it only took around an hour to completely build one hut. Going into my crafting menu, I build a [Simple Bed] and some various other furniture to fill the hut. I had quite a large stockpile of resources saved up due to the fact that I hardly used any when I was staying in the elven city.

"Chloe, you can have your own house this time."

"Ah~ that's nice. I'll go furnish it when it's done then."

"Alright, feel free to do whatever."

She stayed outside as she waited for my Builder Minions to complete the second hut. I decided to take a seat on the bed and scroll through my crafting menu. There were a lot more crafts than I remembered, although I'm not completely sure what the reason for that was. There were also many more different types of buildings, giving me a better way to establish a city. My first thought was to build a working plumbing system which would give me running water.

Based on my calculations, whilst it was a pretty big task, it didn't really take too many resources. Considering the building times for each of the buildings, it should take around a few days before it is fully complete. I still wanted to leave some Builder Minions for other tasks as well.

For some reason... my head has been hurting.
