Chapter 51 Edits – Version 2 (EXTREMELY MAJOR CHANGES)
What's up everyone?
Last night I was like, dang tons of people think my novel is shit because of the terrible characters and I actually agree. The characters I designed in this novel are incredibly bad and poorly thought out, mainly because I didn't spend any time actually thinking about it. It has been made abundantly clear that this is going to need to be changed.
For the last few weeks, I've been constantly tossing and turning about how I would fix this issue. The main problem was that I realised my big mistakes too late into the novel and thus most changes would affect it significantly, especially in relation to the characters.
As a result, I've mostly been putting it off, however, that doesn't fix anything.
There's no point in me constantly being annoyed by criticism of my early errors. I needed to fix them.
My last set of edits was supposed to address these issues but I ended up just being a coward and hesitated to make any major changes.
This time, I've just let it all out.

Here are the main points you need to see.
1. The entire chapter with Ashley has basically been completely rewritten, it was terrible and I knew that it was terrible. She acted like an NPC when I know perfectly well how to write a believable human. Thus she is a lot more cautious and so is William.
2. William kills Rosie instead of letting her live. This is a much more believable thing to occur than the stupid Shonen protagonist shit I was on when I was writing that arc. I'm actually surprised by how little it actually affects the story even after the changes.
3. Chloe has been made way less of a psychopathic child. I was probably bathing my face in some Chunibyou shit which caused me to write her character like that.
There will likely be more changes in the next few hours as I decide more things to change.

Anyways I'm not really sure what to say, it's not completely necessary to reread the novel since these changes don't actually affect the baseline plot of the novel in too big of a way once you see what changed. In the second volume, all of the characters get dumped since I need to write much better characters.
