“Celeste is already asleep. You guys can chill out now, right?”
Old Mrs. Hann held the phone, her eyes full of tendemess as she looked at Celeste in the photos. Old Mr. Hann also wanted a peek, “Let me have a look too!”
“Why do I feel like she’s lost weight since our last video call? Her face looks smaller.”
“I have the same feeling. Her cheekbones seem higher, and her complexion looks a bit off–color”

Old Mrs. Hann frowned, “A choker? Isn’t that like a dog collar?”
Steven explained, “Well, you don’t get it. It’s fashion, just like the coats that were popular when you were young. All the young people dress like
this now”
The old couple still found it odd to wear such a large thing around the neck, but when they thought about their granddaughter, they immediately nodded in agreement, “Celeste is so beautiful, she looks good in anything.”
Hiram was silent.
For the first time, he found Steven’s gift of gab quite useful. He could easily bamboozle people.
Having finally pacified the old couple, Steven drove Hiram away.
On the road, Hiram finally asked, “How’s that injured actress? It’s been a whole night, why hasn’t there been any news? Hurry up and get her to clear things up”

Steven said nonchalantly. “You’re overthinking it. When have I ever done anything illegal?”

Steven chuckled, “I was just scaring those guys.”
Hiram warned. “This involves Celeste. Whatever you do, it has to be legal and reasonable. Don’t let people misunderstand you.”
Steven joked, “In your heart, do I hold the same position as your daughter?”
Hiram immediately furrowed his brows, “The main thing is that I’m worried you’ll embarrass me.”
Steven just laughed and didn’t say anything
Janis heard the sound of the car engine at home and came out with a jacket

She called out softly, “Hiram.”
