This child was about three years old and already had a sense of self–esteem. When the mother scolded him, his eyes turned red, his nose twitched, and he pouted his little mouth, showing signs of about to cry.

She came back to her senses and said, “Just regular water cups.” Then asked, “What about you?”
Mason replied, “I need to buy some cups for guests”
“Don’t you have these cups at home?” Celeste was puzzled.
According to Mason, his family held holiday gatherings every year, so how could they not even have cups?
Mason explained. The cabinet where I kept the cups broke a while ago, everything inside was shattered, and I haven’t replenished it yet.”
Celeste just replied with “I see“, thinking to herself, the cabinet was so big, how could it suddenly break? Did someone break it during a fight at home?
The elevator quickly reached the fourth floor. Everyone walked out, and Mason led her straight to a store on the fourth floor that specialized in selling cups. The cups looked good, but they were all imported brands, and the prices were not cheap.
Celeste looked around and picked out a pair of glass cups. She picked them up and examined them carefully. The cups were thick, made of heat–resistant glass. There was a slight gradient color, simple and pretty.
This one looks nice Mason walked over and said, “Are you sure you want this one?”
Celeste nodded, “Yes, this one. I’m getting dizzy from all the choices, better stick to the one I first liked.”
Mason turned to the salesperson and said. “Wrap these up for me, I’ll pay for them together.”
Celeste was stunned, quickly said, “No, no, we should pay separately.”
Mason smiled, “It’s not that expensive. You don’t have to fight me over it.”
Celeste shook her hand. “It might not be expensive to you, but it really is not cheap for me. Don’t always make me owe you, then I’d want to avoid you whenever I see you.”
Mason had no choice but to sigh with a laugh, “Actually, it’s just a cup, there’s no need to fuss over it so much.”
Celeste retorted. “What if I pay for yours?”
Mason then handed her the cups he picked, “Thank you.”
Celeste was speechless. She was just saying that in passing.
She still tried to take them, but Mason moved his hand away just as she was about to touch them, smiling and saying, “Never mind”
“What’s the matter?”
Mason arched an eyebrow, “I’m worried you’ll regret this when you get home, and then you’ll kick me off your friend list
Celeste glared at him, “What kind of person do you think I am”
Then she turned to the cashier and said generously. “We’ll pay together, it’s on me.”
Mason just smiled, not rushing to pay, “I’ll just wait over here then

The store was quite busy, and while waiting in line to pay, Celeste suddenly felt like she was being watched. She turned and saw a girl around twenty years old aiming her phone at her, taking pictures
When the girl noticed Celeste looking, she quickly hid her phone and pretended to be looking at a cup.
Celeste looked away, but not long after, she felt like she was being watched again. This time when she turned, the girl’s phone was only a meter away from her, clearly trying to sneak a picture of her.
