Steven paused and asked, “What is it?”
Celeste opened her mouth, hesitated momentarily, then closed it again. Then she said quietly, “Nothing, just… get some rest too”
Steven chuckled and said, “You too”
After hanging up, Liam looked at Celeste and asked quietly. “You wanted to tell him about your plan, didn’t you?”
Celeste nodded.
“Why didn’t you?”
“I didn’t know how to say it. Sydney is Skyline Media Group’s top actress, and my plan would harm Mr. Garcia’s interests. How could he possibly agree to that?”
Liam thought to himself, as long as she asked, that sister–obsessed maniac would have done anything for her, even if it meant sacrificing a little bit of profit.
The plan was kept completely confidential. It was better to involve as few people as possible. There was no telling if someone on Steven’s team might leak the information.
Celeste’s commitment was seriously touching; she had pledged to teach him how to cook fish soup.
